Create a request for undeletion below if you want to:

• Restore pages or files which were deleted through:
  • the proposed deletion process
  • one of the specifc speedy deletion criteria listed below, or
  • XfD discussions closed as "soft delete".
• Improve the content of a deleted page so that it can be kept; or
• Use the content of a deleted page somewhere else. In this case it can be restored as a draft, moved into your userspace, or emailed to you privately.

As an alternative to this process, you can make a direct request to certain administrators. (JavaScript .js and CSS .css pages are a special case; to request those, use the Interface administrators' noticeboard instead.)

Applicable speedy deletion criteria

You can only request the restoration of pages which were deleted by speedy deletion if the criterion used was one of the following.

• A1, no context
• A3, no content
• A10, recently created article that duplicates an existing topic
• F4, lack of licensing information
• F5, orphaned non-free use files
• G6, maintenance deletions
• G7, author requests deletion
• G8, pages dependent on a non-existent or deleted page
• G14, unnecessary disambiguation pages
• U1, user request
• U2, nonexistent user

This list had a nifty, sortable table of dinosaurs I used to get an overview of which dinosaurs I wanted to improve for FA, which was different and more inclusive than the one currently at Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. If undeleted or draftified, I would copy that list to my sandbox for future use. Note I'm not sure if the table was present in the form I want at the latest version of the article before it was deleted, so it might be in some earlier revision. Thanks, unfortunately, as I feared, the latest version was not the one with the original table. The new table was introduced by User:AJFU, would it be possible to copy a revision from before they started editing the article, when the table looked more like the one at: Characters of the Tekken series? It appears Sandstein does not find it important enough to take up their time (though it will potentially lead to more Featured Articles, which benefits Wikipedia overall; the list was already instrumental in me choosing to get several dinosaurs to FA). If it was just some references copied, then I do not believe that attribution would be required. However if substantial text is copied, then we should restore and redirect. The AfD had minimal participation and the nominator's concern was specifically that the Emmy/Peabody award claims couldn't be verified in official databases — not a broader notability or conduct issue. I'd like the article restored to draft space (or my userspace) so I can remove the unverified Peabody claim, properly source the Emmy claim (it refers to a regional NATAS Upper Midwest chapter award, verifiable via an archived copy of the chapter's own 2011 recipients page — the original AfD nominator only checked the national Primetime/Daytime Emmy databases), and add two independent secondary sources that were not part of the original article:

There is independent coverage of Anil C.S. Rao's work in published sources, including coverage of his graphic novels, artistic work, and career. The existing Wikipedia article itself identified coverage in publications including the *Baltimore Post-Examiner*, *India Abroad*, *The Hindu Metro Plus*, and *Visalandhra*.

There is also independent newspaper coverage of Rao's graphic-novel work. For example, *The Times of India* published a feature discussing his work and *Hyderabadi Biryani* in the context of India's graphic-novel scene.

The previous article may not have presented the available sourcing or the subject's notability as effectively as it could have. A restored article could therefore be substantially rewritten to remove promotional material, limit claims to those supported by reliable independent sources, and bring the article into compliance with Wikipedia's neutral point of view, verifiability, and notability requirements.

I am requesting restoration to the main namespace because the original creator of the deleted article is no longer available to make the necessary revisions from that account. Restoring the deleted page would preserve its edit history and allow other editors to improve, scrutinize, source, or challenge the article through normal Wikipedia processes.

I am not asking that the article be protected from further review. I am asking that it be restored so that its encyclopedic merit can be evaluated on the basis of its available independent sources and a properly rewritten article.
