Hey y'all, mammal list #76 in our perpetual series and rodent list #21: Deomyinae. This is our first of three lists working through the subfamilies of the giant family of Muridae, which is also the last family in Rodentia to do. The subfamily Deomyinae is a grouping of "true mice" (and rats), which ignores all the other things that looks like rats/mice around the world, and includes the spiny mice and brush-furred rats. With 55 species in Africa/Middle East/Mediterranean, it's the smallest of our last three lists. As always, the list reflects the scientific consensus as well as the results of prior FLCs.
