- All general sanctions imposed by the community may now be enforced at the Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard (WP:AE) as a result of a recent RfC.
- Due to the result of a recent RFC, the administrator recall process is amended to extend the deadline for a re-request for adminship to 30 days or the next administrator election, whichever is later.
- Changes to the Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy's disclosure rules include broadening the consecutive-blocks exception to cover all admin actions and removing the requirement to revision-delete permissible disclosures once they become unnecessary (instead requiring only their removal). See WP:TAIVDISCLOSE for more information.

- Following the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: Aoidh, Asilvering, Girth Summit, Guerillero, HJ Mitchell, HouseBlaster, Izno, Sdrqaz, SilverLocust.

- Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.

- Voting in the 2026 Steward elections started on 06 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC) and will end on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC). The confirmation process for current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.

Potential undeletion of .70-150_Winchester
edit.70-150_Winchester is an article you closed the deletion of in 2019. I can't speak as to whether it should have been deleted then. However, since then a few (apparently very few) rifles using that round have been built and there are several YouTube videos demonstrating it in use. - It was a soft deletion, so any user can request for it to be restored at WP:REFUND. But if the only sources are YouTube videos, those are usually not going to be considered reliable sources that would make the subject notable. RL0919 (talk) 05:09, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, the web archival service archive.today has been deprecated; links to the site should be removed.
- A request for comment is open to discuss retiring CSD criterion R3 in favour of handling such redirects through RfD.
Arbitration
- Following a motion, remedy 9.1 of the Conduct in deletion-related editing case has been amended to limit TenPoundHammer to one XfD nomination or PROD per 24-hour period.
- Following a motion, the Iskandar323 further POV pushing motion has been rescinded.
- The Arbitration Committee has passed a housekeeping motion rescinding a number of outdated remedies and enforcement provisions across multiple legacy cases. In most instances, existing sanctions remain in force and continue to be appealable through the usual processes, while some case-specific remedies were amended or clarified.

TC 176 deletion

- It was deleted as the outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ISO/TC 176. It was done as a WP:SOFTDELETE, so if you want it restored you can just use the link in my closing statement for "request the article's undeletion". --RL0919 (talk) 16:41, 2 April 2026 (UTC)

- The content of Wikipedia:Writing articles with large language models has been updated following a request for comment. It now prohibits using LLMs to generate content, with exceptions for translation and copy-editing.
Arbitration
- Following a motion, the GSCASTE extended-confirmed restriction in the Indian military history case has been narrowed. It now applies to caste-related topics in South Asia, and the preemptive protection remedy has been amended accordingly.
- The arbitration case Pbsouthwood has been closed.
- The arbitration case Maghreb has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case will close on 7 April.
Hi. I was wondering why you decided to close Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Probabilistic logic network as "no consensus". Of the non-struck !votes, three out of the four with substantial comments argued that the article should not exist as its own thing, one way or another. There was also a one-line speculation about merging. Closing the discussion with what is effectively a "keep" when only one person had argued for that out of all the participants seems premature. Why not relist it for another week instead? Stepwise Continuous Dysfunction (talk) 02:34, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Relisting again was an option, but it's a judgment call, and I judged differently than you are suggesting. There was no shortage of discussion, but there was a shortage of agreement, with all of the most common dispositions being argued (delete, keep, merge, redirect). Maybe another week could have conjured up "draftify" and "transwiki" arguments to provide completeness? But seriously, sometimes the best thing is to call an end to the current discussion – folks can take some time to reconsider, and if it seems like it deserves another round later, nothing prohibits that. --RL0919 (talk) 06:58, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sure, but nobody was seriously going to call for draftifying a defunct page or transwikying something that's not a dictionary definition... the problem is that we're now stuck with an article where there exist no sources that can be used to improve it or even demonstrate its notability (the only "keep" !vote didn't identify any). I could buy a "no consensus" close if there were roughly equal numbers of article-should-exist and article-shouldn't-exist !votes, or if a lone "keep" was backed up by sources while a couple delete/redirect !votes didn't try grounding themselves in guidelines, etc., but I find it hard to say that the judgment call should be made in a situation like this one until the discussion really, truly had run its course. Instead of waiting one more week, now we have to wait six more months, with an obscure but defective article on our hands that by all indications can't be fixed. What counts as "inflammatory or substantially divisive"?
editYou deleted a userbox expressing support for a non-profit on the grounds that it was "inflammatory or substantially divisive". I am seeking more guidance on 1) this standard and 2) its application to userboxes that discuss political/contentious topics.
What makes supporting this non-profit violative of the guidelines? Is the same not true for the various userboxes expressing support for other political topics on which substantial variance of opinion exists? Is it the role of Wikipedia administrators to determine which organizations or movements editors are allowed to identify with? Does the existence of editors that dislike an organization merit the deletion of a userbox? Bravelake (talk) 04:08, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- It is the role of Wikipedia administrators to close deletion discussions and carry out the deletion when there is a clear consensus that is in line with established Wikipedia guidelines. You already linked to the discussion where every participant other than yourself supported deletion and the relevant guideline about userboxes was cited. Is this guideline applied consistently to every userbox that implicates some current political controversy? No, there is no Wikipedia guideline that is consistently applied to every relevant case. That's why the WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS argument is discouraged. So I can't give you any ironclad way to avoid MfD. But userboxes that are easily connected to current hot button political controversies are going to be higher risk than ones that support broad political ideas or avoid controversy altogether. --RL0919 (talk) 00:38, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
- As I'm sure you're aware, deletion discussions are not votes. Wikipedia is not a democracy. That a handful of editors dislike a particular userbox is not evidence that the userbox violates a given policy, nor did you provide a justification for how this userbox is supposed to have violated a policy.
- It is the role of the closer to examine the arguments and reach a conclusion. I feel you failed to do so in the closing discussion, and again here.
- Again, I ask how is this userbox violative of a Wikipedia policy? The existence of other, similar userboxes is a helpful gauge when determining how policies have been applied in the past, yes. Bravelake (talk) 01:40, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

- Changes to user permissions made from Meta are now included in the local user permissions log (T6055).
- The autoconfirmed user group will soon be modified such that the four-day account age requirement begins when an account makes its first edit (T418484).
Arbitration
- The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
- Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
- Per a recent motion, restrictions issued directly by the Committee may now be enforced with blocks which work exactly like contentious topic blocks.
- The arbitration case Maghreb has been closed.

- The May 2026 administrator elections are scheduled to run from April 29 to May 19. The call for candidates ends May 5.
- The 2026 Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is scheduled to run from April 25 to June 1. Candidacy submissions close on May 10.
- A new noticeboard for non-urgent, batch page protection requests has been created, primarily for the enforcement of contentious topic restrictions.
