On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. Information icon Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to 2026 Heritage Classic. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on either strong national ties to the topic or if the topic is tied to an armed forces. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Note. MOS:DATETIES does not apply to articles written in Canadian English. ShallowC (talk) 22:58, 18 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

From my previous work on the Canada's national soccer teams, they use mdy format. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 23:14, 18 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi HalfOfAnOrange, thanks for all the work you’re doing in relation to soccer. Glad someone is working on it. About dates: there’s no one format for dates in Canadian articles. Some Canadian editors like mdy, some like dmy. Once a date format is established for an article, it shouldn’t be changed without discussion on the Talk page. It’s just a matter of style. Best wishes! Adding citations

edit

When you add citations, please include the author's name too. Also, don't duplicate citations either, use <ref name> instead. Let me know if you have any questions. Assadzadeh (talk) 23:23, 25 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Common names of Mexican clubs

edit

Hi HalfAnOrange, I noticed that you changed a bunch of club names in Leagues Cup matches info. Is there a list that has been agreed upon? Because for MLS teams it seems like we typically spell the whole club name out, for example Houston Dynamo FC, or Seattle Sounders FC. But for Mexican clubs, we shorten them to Querétaro or Puebla. I'm just trying to be consistent. Is there a generally agreed upon names used in football boxes? OblongBubbles (talk) 15:15, 9 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

This draft appears to be generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You should not use LLMs to write articles from scratch.

LLM-generated pages with the below issues may be deleted without notice.

These tools are prone to specific issues that violate our policies:

  • hallucinations: they often invent false information and cite non-existent references.
  • unencyclopedic tone: they tend to be vague, promotional, or essay-like, rather than neutral and factual.
  • copyright issues: they may closely paraphrase existing text, leading to copyright violations.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to change the title of a page by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Super_Bowl_LXIII. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Montreal Canadiens roster

edit

Hey Orange,

I see that you frequently update various Montreal Canadiens wiki pages. It looks like there may be a slight typo under the roster section of the main page.

As you probably know, David Reinbacher wears #64 with the team and not #36 as listed.

Is this something you might be able to change as an extended confirmed user?

Thanks! ~2026-23198-78 (talk) 17:59, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sourcing

edit

Thanks for your updates to Garden Grove chemical leak. As per several of your additions which were added without a source (1, 2), I'd like to remind you of guidelines on sourcing and original research. Anything you add to an article must be based on and a include a citation to what is said by a reliable source. Even if you know something is true (WP:NOTTRUTH), if no RS exists, it's probably not due for inclusion.

In the case of the article, secondary sources are preferred to establish that a fact is due for inclusion. Otherwise, nothing is stopping anyone from adding every single organization, group, or company who vaguely breathed in the general direction (WP:INDISCRIMINATE). Thanks.
