Draft:International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics
editHello GoingBatty, Thank you for your helpful comments in my first wikipedia submission February. I've addressed the comments and made numerous changes to reduce the perception of self promotion, bare references, etc to improve the article and feel ready (but scared) to resubmit. Prior to doing so, I am hoping that I could impose on you to take a look at it again and let me know if there is still work to be done and point me in the right direction prior to my resubmission. Your past feedback was helpful to me and I really appreciated it.
I am looking for acceptance of the article and for the messages to be removed following my edits.

- @TammarieSheamus: Hi there! I made some more edits to Draft:International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics for you. I think the "Governance structure" section needs a lot of reorganization and references before resubmission. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:19, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback. Do you think it would be okay if I just shortened the Governance Structure section to 3 general sentences with references and added all the details later when I can get it better organized and referenced? I don't want to run out of time and am hoping it can be accepted. I noticed other organizations that were already accepted had a list of their meetings and past presidents. Does this strengthen the article? TammarieSheamus (talk) 12:27, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
- @TammarieSheamus: I think removing the list of presidents, congresses, and everything from the "Governance structure" section that is not related to the structure of the governance is a step in the right direction. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 12:58, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

I'm trying to get back to the editing page so I submit the page I just created. I can't seem to log in via the normal route. What's up??? --HowLeeMac (talk) 22:00, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- @HowLeeMac: Hi there! It looks like you were logged in when you asked this question, and your only other edit was creating User:HowLeeMac/sandbox. Please provide more details about the exact issue you're experiencing, and I'll try to assist you. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 22:50, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- I did not understand the criticism term about multiple comments concerning “invoked” something. Is this elitist code? HowLeeMac (talk) 21:57, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
- @HowLeeMac: Hi again! Could you please be more specific as to where you see such comments and the exact wording of the comments? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 02:30, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard
editHi, GoingBatty. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard. I get the impression sometimes that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Look forward to hearing your feedback. Please take the § Survey when you get there! Mathglot (talk) 00:37, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
can you go over this article?
edithello, can you take a look at the article Community organizing?
(and maybe tidy it up?) RJJ4y7 (talk) 18:32, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
- @RJJ4y7: Hi there! I made some tweaks to the article for you, and tagged it as needing help with the external links.
- On the article talk page, I added
|attention=yesto the WikiProject banners that support it in the hopes it will get interested editors to assist. - For assistance with the examples and perspectives, I suggest asking for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Sociology or the other WikiProject talk pages.
- For assistance with the tone, I suggest asking for help at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests.
- However, to avoid edit conflicts, don't request help at both places at the same time.
- Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 03:28, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

edit- Note: AnonLionCavalier83's mentor Alpha3031 is away.
How do I add "archive 2" to my talk page here? My messages, if archived, go to archive 1.
Thanks. ~ AnonLionCavalier83 (talk) 17:35, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
- @AnonLionCavalier83: Hi there! In the
{{User:MiszaBot/config}}template, you could either:- change
|maxarchivesize=400Kto a lower number, which will trigger the creation of the next archive page sooner, or - change
|archive=User talk:AnonLionCavalier83/Archive %(counter)dto|archive=User talk:AnonLionCavalier83/Archive_2and manually create archive pages (as I do every year).

Question from Readgambia (01:30, 13 July 2026)
editHi mentor, thanks for your guidance and insights. Could you kindly suggest anything on the new draft I started? --Readgambia (talk) 01:30, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia: Hi there! I've made some tweaks to your User:Readgambia/sandbox. I don't see Jeng mentioned in reference #2, so I've marked it as
{{failed verification}}. If you haven't done so, please read Help:Your first article, and then move the page to the Draft space and submit it for the Articles for creation process. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 01:50, 13 July 2026 (UTC)- Thank you respectfully, sir. I will check and do the needful. I will revert shortly. Readgambia (talk) 02:24, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
- Dear mentor, I have added the missing link. Kindly check it and advise. Readgambia (talk) 00:33, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia: I saw your updates and tweaked your draft again. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 00:41, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
- Dear mentor, this is to acknowledge receipt of your message with great respect and commendation. I have seen the changes; thanks for your guidance and input. I would politely like to submit the final draft to you for review and possibly moving the draft to the main page. Let me know if this is something you would like to do once I finish adding all information needed. Readgambia (talk) 00:39, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia: I made some more tweaks for you. However, I won't be reviewing the article, as it's hard for me to tell whether the sources are truly independent. I added some WikiProjects to the talk page to bring more attention to your draft. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 01:18, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you remarkably. I've just added the categories of the subject, specifying it under biography. This is very helpful and appreciated. Readgambia (talk) 02:11, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia: You added Category:1992 births, but your draft doesn't state his year of birth. Do you have a source for his year of birth? GoingBatty (talk) 02:38, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, mentor. I just added his date of birth with a citation. Please feel free to improve the draft. Readgambia (talk) 09:58, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia: The source you added states "Born in Banjul on January 17,..." What is your source for his year of birth? GoingBatty (talk) 01:20, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hello mentor, yes, you're absolutely right. I Googled his name and also noticed that more than two independent newspapers clearly indicated that he was born in Banjul, capital city of The Gambia in 1992. I've picked only two from the lot and added them to the citations. You can confirm this. Readgambia (talk) 01:20, 17 July 2026 (UTC)

editI just got 100k+ on audiomack just my latest track Chioma is trending can I write an article about it on Wikipedia? DanielAppiahGH (talk) 06:24, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- I'd like to suggest that you create a Wikipedia for yourself and mention it in your milestone/achievements/discography. Readgambia (talk) 10:01, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- @DanielAppiahGH - Hi there! I disagree with the recommendation given by @Readgambia. Wikipedia contains articles about people who meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, called "notability". Please read WP:MUSICBIO and determine if you meet any of the criteria for musicians. If not, then Wikipedia is not the place to promote your music. If so, then please read Help:Your first article. Thanks for asking! GoingBatty (talk) 01:09, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from PlainJane91 (08:48, 17 July 2026)
editI just created a standalone article for Isaac Herzog, current President of Israel. I'd like to do something similar for all of the other Presidents. Should some sort of templates be created for this? If so, what? --PlainJane91 (talk) 08:48, 17 July 2026 (UTC)
- Also thank you for being my mentor!! PlainJane91 (talk) 08:48, 17 July 2026 (UTC)
- @PlainJane91: Hi there! Nice job with the article about the Presidency of Isaac Herzog! I don't see a style guide at Wikipedia:WikiProject Politics. You might want to discuss at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Politics or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Israel (but not both at the same time). Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:17, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from Readgambia (16:38, 18 July 2026)
editMentor, could you kindly confirm if the page still needs improvement as it is, or it is alright to submit for review? --Readgambia (talk) 16:38, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia: I see your work is now at David Jeng. I made a few tweaks for you, and added
{{external links}}to remind you that there shouldn't be external links in the body of the article. I see you've uploaded the photographs as your "own work". Did you take the photographs? What is your relationship with Jeng? GoingBatty (talk) 16:42, 19 July 2026 (UTC)- Hello mentor, thank you respectfully for the good job. I am learning gradually from your unique expertise. I went to David's personal website to get some materials and additionally searched his name on Google to generate most links and materials. Kindly advise. I am carefully going through your edits to see how you were wonderfully able to make some tweaks and and added external links. Readgambia (talk) 18:29, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- I've just removed external links from the body of the article and converting useful links where appropriate into footnote. Kindly check and revert. Readgambia (talk) 19:42, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Readgambia:
Done! You could combine more of the references. For each of the images, please change the source to indicate where you found each photo. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 02:05, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- Could you please guide me on how to correctly combine the references and indicate the source for each image? I would very much appreciate. Thanks, a bunch, mentor! Readgambia (talk) 09:21, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive
edit
Hello GoingBatty:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.

Question from X AI has created grokipedia (01:15, 20 July 2026)
edit- Note: X AI has created grokipedia's mentor JayCubby is away.
Hello! Laniakea (company) has been nominated for deletion. Could you please help me? Thank you. --X AI has created grokipedia (talk) 01:15, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- @X AI has created grokipedia: Hi there! When you want to create an article, first gather the multiple independent published reliable sources, and then summarize the sources to write the article. In order to prevent the article from being deleted, I suggest you find the sources. Note that the sources do not need to be in English and do not have to be online. For more assistance, please read Help:Your first article. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:12, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- @X AI has created grokipedia: I added some categories and WikiProjects to hopefully bring more attention to the article. GoingBatty (talk) 02:16, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from Arunsingh.rathor (10:27, 20 July 2026)

I have historical reference for the changes.
Kindly help. --Arunsingh.rathor (talk) 10:27, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Arunsingh.rathor: I see you made some edits to the Jhalrapatan article. I see that your edits were reverted because you did not include a reference with the edit. In your final edit to the article, you provided a reference in the edit summary but not the article. I suggest you post your suggestion to Talk:Jhalrapatan with your source and let other editors determine whether to make the change for you. Hope this helps, and happy editing! Hoping to get help with a thorny content page at the intersection of public and private interests
editHello. I'm reaching out in search of a Wiki editor who can provide guidance on how best to deal with a page that was published as a US passenger railroad stub a long time ago, and as a result, has resulted in inaccurate, incomplete information becoming a primary resource for internet users. The company is called Alternate Concepts, Inc., aka ACI, which is based in Boston. I have represented the company as outside counsel for a range of communications issues since 2006. I was asked to help aggregate content about the company's work as an Operations & Maintenance contract services provider to the public transit sector. In doing this work over the past 2-3 weeks, a number of editors have challenged the content updates provided on the basis of COI, which I readily disclosed. The issue appears to be the fact that I am doing the editing despite the content being presented neutrally on the basis of primary trustworthy verifiable sources that are cited at every possible point in the process. The issue as I see it is the lack of understanding that this private company - and every single on in the sector - have no need for traditional marketing and PR services because the only pathway for new business is heavily regulated bid solicitation processes that operate under the guise of federal and state law, behind the ironclad veil of mandatory secrecy during the decision-making process. Obviously, this is a complex, layered issue but again, there is nothing to be gained content about the company's contracted services other than educating public transit users and/or those with an interest about ACI's role in serving the public - currently on five major transit operations in four states and Puerto Rico - as well as in less prominent capacities for other systems, and of course, prior contracts that have lapsed, for example the MBTA commuter rail system in Mass. Thanks for your kindness and consideration in reading this lengthy message. I would be grateful to hear back from you. ScottDFarmelant (talk) 14:24, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- @ScottDFarmelant: Hi there! I have read (and tweaked) the Alternate Concepts article. Thank you for disclosing your COI on your user page and here. My suggestion is that you reply to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alternate Concepts with a list of 3-5 independent reliable published sources that provide significant coverage that could be used to improve the article. If the editors there determine that there are enough sources to not delete the article, then you may post again at Talk:Alternate Concepts. I suggest starting small by asking editors to fix one piece of inaccurate information. If that is done, then continue making one small request at a time. Good luck! GoingBatty (talk) 19:14, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from Dengxueptera (01:37, 21 July 2026)
editHi, mentor!!
The editing suggestion robot asked me to revise the tone of something, and I wasn't sure about it.
Since it was a quote, it didn't make sense to edit his words, so I left the suggestion alone. However, I was wondering if pages about people were supposed to have quotes in this style and frequency. The article, on the third ombudsman of the Philippines, had significant sections that were just quotes from sources about the subject, rather than describing the events directly.
Since I am new to Wikipedia, could you point me to resources on how pages about people (and other topics for that matter) should be structured?
Thanks, mentor! --Dengxueptera (talk) 01:37, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Dengxueptera: Hi there! I presume you're referring to the Simeon V. Marcelo article. There's the Wikipedia:Manual of Style and its subpages, including Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 01:51, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Dengxueptera: There's also Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons to assist you. GoingBatty (talk) 02:05, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks!
- I just made another tone edit, but I'm not sure about my justification. Am I supposed to cite a Wikipedia guideline when deleting something?
- If you could look over the edit I just made, it would be helpful. If this is beyond the scope of what a Wikipedia mentor is supposed to do, I'm sorry. Dengxueptera (talk) 02:27, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
