Mary Morello bio details
editUm, if his mother traveled from country to country teaching English from '77-'83 (he would be 13-19), how was she also teaching History at his high school in the US? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.64.36.85 (talk) 03:53, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- Came to raise the same issue, the opening paragraph of Early Life states "His mother was a schoolteacher from Marseilles, Illinois, who ... traveled to Germany, Spain, Japan, and Kenya as an English language teacher between 1977 and 1983." But she was obviously in Kenya in the '60s as well since that's where she met his father.
- There's seemingly better detail about this on her page which should be summarized here. ("In 1954, she earned a master's degree ... at Loyola University in Chicago. She spent the rest of the decade teaching English in Germany, Peru, and Japan while once circling the globe on a freighter. From 1960–63, Morello lived in Kenya") It does also have a contradiction stating that they married in Kenya, while this page says they married in NYC, though both could be true.
- It would also be useful to add birth year for his parents in the opening sentence, ie "to parents Ngethe Njoroge (b. 1928) and Mary Morello (b. 1923)." Thanks! 2601:445:801:8520:E9F2:43FC:AA08:EBE4 (talk) 22:47, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
who not whom
editThird sentence of Rage Against the Machine subsection of Recording Career, "He drafted drummer Brad Wilk, WHO he knew from Lock Up" not whom, whom is only for indirect object like to whom or for whom. 2601:445:801:8520:3C24:E555:AF98:85EC (talk) 11:41, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
- "Whom" is correct. . — Chrisahn (talk) 12:48, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
Pacific Rim?
editIt seems like this guy is officially credited with the guitar featured in the main theme for this movie. Any objections to adding Pacific Rim to the filmography??? Troopersho (talk) 05:37, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
merge/move RATM to that article
editI think at least 90% of the section on RATM belongs in RATM main article, just keeping a few Tom-specific details here. Same for Audioslave for that matter. Dvdtoy (talk) 01:51, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
