NPOV Issues
editI've rewritten much of the article and added in some new sources. I'm removing the NPOV banner at the top for now, but please feel free to discuss here if you think it should remain. Strombollii (talk) 18:08, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
COI edit request

Hi - I would like to recommend the following edit to this article. For disclosure under WP:COI, I am currently employed by SmartAsset, the subject. In the first paragraph of the lead, please consider removing the last sentence:
| − | SmartAsset is a financial technology company, founded in July 2012 by Michael Carvin and Phillip Camilleri and headquartered in New York, New York. The company publishes articles, guides, reviews, calculators and tools to help people make decisions about personal finance. | + | SmartAsset is a financial technology company, founded in July 2012 by Michael Carvin and Phillip Camilleri and headquartered in New York, New York. SmartAsset also operates SmartAdvisor, a digital platform that connects consumers with financial advisors. |

The sentence proposed for removal is not duplicated in the body so violates MOS:LEADREL, while use of the "however" violates MOS:OFCOURSE. The sentence is currently only sourced to WP:PRIMARY and so may also be problematic under WP:OR and WP:NOTHOWTO. Thanks for your consideration. ~2025-39311-25 (talk) 23:00, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
