Section header for rename

edit

Hi there, there's a section that labeled "Reformation to present (1517 to today)". Maybe I want to renamed it to "Reformation to present (since 1517)". It's fine the current header name remains the same. What you guys think? SpartanMazda (talk) 18:27, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Under section Pope#Political role, the infobox has broken image because the template {{Infobox}} requires use of full image syntax. To fix, replace this line:

| image = Coat of arms of Vatican City (2023–present).svg

with:

| image = [[File:Coat of arms of Vatican City (2023–present).svg|frameless|upright]]

Chnage 1.3 billion Catholics to 1.7+ billion Catholics. 2401:D002:CB0C:4700:B05C:9D21:B4E7:F8D8 (talk) 08:51, 6 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not done: No clue where you got that figure, but I question that it was a reliable source. Remsense 🌈  08:55, 6 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
The Vatican’s most recent data (released spring 2025) put the global Catholic population at just over 1.4 billion people. I have updated the figure accordingly. Firefox0807 (talk) 08:49, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request to remove the sentence “The writings of Irenaeus, a Church Father who wrote around 180 AD, reflect a belief that Peter “founded and organized” the Church at Rome”. The source listed concerns montanism in Gaul and Noëtian heresy and is not related to the direct quote provided neither does it contain the quotation. ~2026-41013-3 (talk) 16:39, 19 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: The citation listed the incorrect page number. I have corrected it to page 118 of A New Eusebius, which supports the assertion in the article. Day Creature (talk) 19:34, 19 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Does the redirect note at the top of the article really need to help readers find the Papal States? I cant imagine someone who might look for that article to just search pope.

"or the historic state controlled by the pope, see Papal States."

I would replace that section and instead link to the List of popes, which is much closer to the subject (and article title) and probably what a lot of readers are looking for if the pageviews are any indication. — jonas (talk) 09:26, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
