Mainly because of annoying infobox issues, I have converted this article into a disambiguation page, spinning out the material it previously contained into two articles called octopamine (neurotransmitter) and octopamine (drug). Looie496 (talk) 16:09, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Octopamine (drug) and Octopamine (neurotransmitter) are identical compounds, all the way down to IUPAC name and CAS number etc. The only possible difference is the chiral centre on the alpha carbon, a topic which neither article addresses. This is a WP:CONTENTFORK and an unnecessary disambiguation. Narky Blert (talk) 12:46, 7 September 2018 (UTC)

On second thoughts, a better merge would be into p-octopamine. The DAB page octopamine is needed is distinguish between that compound and its isomer m-octopamine. Narky Blert (talk) 12:52, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
