I've improved globalization by replacing the first illustration with a greater variety of notes and coins. They are Euro currency, the best I could find to include many countries. (If someone has a worldwide collection, another photo would be welcome.) The caption is neutral. The US dollar is still well represented later in the article. It's unfortunate that the notes are overlapping to form a flat surface, meaning that it's not obvious what shape an individual banknote is, from this photo. Belbury (talk) 07:47, 16 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

I mean...both are imprecise, which is probably okay since it's inherently an imprecise statement. It has worse problems though -- "rely on" is very strange wording; does it mean equivalent/equal to? While the ancient Mesopotamians no doubt didn't distinguish between mass and weight, we do today, and this sentence incorrectly conflates the two. Going with weight probably makes more sense. Any other thoughts? –Deacon Vorbis(carbon•videos) 21:48, 11 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Notdone for now: I'm not seeing anything about this in the cited source. Do you? I've tagged as unclear and failed verification. meamemg (talk) 21:52, 11 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
