Please leave the format the same way to keep it consistant with all the other teams. Starze 05:13, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Could we add a link to the page for the animal Lynx canadensis?  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14F:4501:CE38:F0BE:BF2C:3ABC:C583 (talk) 23:56, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

LosLynx

Hello. I'm a new fan and don't know anything about Facebook. Is LosLynx really worth taking three paragraphs to explain why it is meaningful? For me it slows down this whole article. Thank you. -SusanLesch (talk) 15:58, 4 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Ckruschke: Hurray, good job. Thank you for retiring this section. -SusanLesch (talk) 22:56, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not trying to start an argument, but I'm wondering about a bunch of the tables at the bottom of this page.

  • List of every GM (all GM's are already in text above)
  • List of every past Assistant Coach (every assistant (I think) is already in text above)
  • A complete list of attendance of every season (IMO the most you do is list the highest attendance and move on)
  • Every arena they ever played in (these are already in-line in text above)
  • Every Draft Pick (Notable ones are already in the text)
  • Every All-Star (notable ones are already in-line, individual awards are better served on individual player pages)
  • Every Olympian (Ditto above)
  • Honors and Awards (Ditto above)

They aren't on an NBA franchise page and it smacks of filler. Happy to be wrong - just wanted to bring it up since most of the above seems like they violate Notability rules on stand-alone lists. Ckruschke (talk) 18:15, 18 July 2025 (UTC)CkruschkeReply

Probably more of a general WNBA team pages topic, since all of them have these features, so if any big changes were to be made it would probably be better to discuss that on the NBA/WNBA project page.
But in general I agree that most of the lists are not necessary + tedious to maintain. The WP:NBATEAM manual of style only has Home arenas and Individual awards. (The thing is also that NBA teams often simply have separate pages for lists such as franchise head coaches or records.)
In my opinion:
– GMs and head coaches should virtually always be in text (History section), could have a list or table of those too I guess.
– Assistant coaches are almost always not notable/relevant enough to be mentioned or listed anywhere.
– Notable draft picks (especially lottery ones) in text, but no need to list them all.
– Former player lists are not necessary and extremely tedious to maintain.
– The individual award format that NBA teams use, listing by awards rather than years, is imo cleaner.
– Attendance/Arena can preferably have its own section with the most important facts, no need to list yearly attendance. Nvmea (talk) 09:41, 21 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
