Typo that needs correcting
editUnder the "federal" subheading, "federal law enforcement agencies" is written twice.
"At the federal level, there exists both federal law enforcement agencies, which possess full federal authority as given to them under United States Code (U.S.C.), and federal law enforcement agencies, who are authorized to enforce various laws at the federal level. " ~2026-26419-1 (talk) 02:51, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, @~2026-26419-1. The first instance originally read "federal police" and I have restored that wording. It looks like someone in 2023 replaced that redirect wikilink with a direct wikilink, but by doing so, it changed the wording of the sentence so that it no longer made sense. Gendarmerie
editUnder 'Types of law enforcement agencies - State' the article says "there is no gendarmerie" but wouldn't the Coast Guard be an American gendarmerie? It's part of the military and has full time law enforcement powers. Seasupermike (talk) 23:26, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
- Well this page seems to be dead so I'll just mention it. Seasupermike (talk) 23:25, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
