Fyi where I got this information from

edit

"However, since 2018, 4 best picture winners have passed the Bechdel test, while the 2019 winner, Green Book did not pass." I don't have a source for this because I compiled this fact up by googling all the Best Picture Winners since 2018, then I went onto the Bechdel test website and searched up if all the films passed or failed. Are there any independent third-party sources that mention this website? Dialmayo 21:33, 30 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Need help with referencing

edit

I just found out that the Bechdel Test used to be known as Bechdel's Rule on TV tropes. I added this information into the article and tried to link to TV tropes's 'Renamed Tropes' page which told me but I couldn't get the link into Wikipedia's style. Can anyone help me? a) you want "Help:Referencing for beginners"
b) for future reference, if you see some formatting in a wikipedia page and you want to replicate it, just click 'edit' and copy the relevant part of the markup code (while changing the content)
c) I'm not sure I'd say that including TV Tropes is the best idea, honestly. DS (talk) 01:21, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Do you think I should remove it just in case someone thinks I'm using primary sources? John Kryten (talk) 20:27, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think TV Tropes is generally deprecated as a source because it's user-generated. DS (talk) 22:05, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
I understand I shall remove the reference John Kryten (talk) 11:03, 3 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
