My name is Robert Frankiewicz and I have updated, edited, neutralised this article on Adam Elliot. I have done much reserach on him and have presented the piece to adhere to and make neutral. I have added support references to back up factual notes.

10th of March. Just made a brief correction. Mr Elliot was in fact the "Young Achiever of the Year for Victoria in 1999", NOT "The Young Victorian of the Year 1999." —Preceding unsigned comment added by RobFrankie (talkcontribs) 23:45, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

COI editing

Multiple single purpose accounts have made significant contributions to this article, beginning as early as September 2008 and most recently in December 2021 and May 2025. From 2009-2015 a recurring editor made major edits to this article and identified themselves by the same name as Elliot's assistant. Recently, a user has repeatedly removed the maintenance templates without justification. Vegantics (talk) 14:24, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Thorny dead, I've implemented your request. In the future, you should put the phrase "Edit COI" in curly brackets. This will format it as a template which will ping editors who are active in editing articles with a COI so that the change gets implemented sooner. Vegantics (talk) 14:38, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Thorny dead, I've partially implemented your edit request. WP:IMDB is not considered a reliable source and I have altered the text to reflect that one source cannot qualify as "often."
I'm not sure why your edit COI template did not format correctly to notify other COI editors, but it may be worth investigating in the future. Cheers! Vegantics (talk) 21:15, 27 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: 1) No, that's too broad a statement. I rewrote that paragraph to reflect what is actually cited. 2 & 3) Agreed. 4) Done. 5) No, as the source is valid for citing William McInnes narrated Uncle, not what the paragraph is stating. PK650 (talk) 23:37, 29 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello PK650 and thank you! I am thrilled to be down to just one 'citation needed'. I thought it was requiring citation for John Flaus. If so, the citation says the film featured John Flaus. It is an animated film, so all actor are providing voice over narration. If you need to specifically see him listed as narrator, the following IMDB link has him listed as the lead narrator in another Adam Elliot Film.

I am hoping to have the article cleaned up an rid it of the multiple issues template. If you require me to do something else, please advise. Thanks so much Thorny dead (talk) 05:08, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello Wikipedians. I have a COI with Adam Elliot. My aim is to get the page tidied up. In the Style and themes Section of the article there is a citation needed. No change to text required. Here is the citation needed to authenticate John Flaus has voiced characters in Adam Elliot films. https://www.skwigly.co.uk/adam-elliot-ernie-biscuit/ If this is not what the 'citation needed' is relating to, please advise me. If the citation provided is not strong enough to remove the 'citation needed' comment; please delete the name John Flaus altogether from the Style and Themes section if that will help get rid of the 'citation needed'. If the citation needed is relating to something else please advise... I am hoping to have the article cleaned up an rid it of the multiple issues template. If you require me to do something else to achieve this, please let me know. Thanks so much. Thorny dead (talk) 04:50, 29 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not done: According to the page's protection level you should be able to edit the page yourself. If you seem to be unable to, please reopen the request with further details. Wrong template for editors with COI. Please use Template:Edit COI. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 14:13, 29 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello and thank you. I followed the instructions for the edit request form for a COI using so apologies if it came through on the wrong queue. Thanks for the advice, I will try and edit the page myself, I wasn't aware I was allowed to. I will remove the name John Flaus where it is requiring citation and remove the banner now that all the concerns have been systematically resolved over the last few months. Thorny dead (talk) 05:25, 30 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Thorny dead! Denying request as a duplicate of the one above. I think you may have misunderstood what AlphaBetaGamma meant. The template you used is intended for pages that are "protected" and you (literally) can not edit; their reply was saying that this page is not indeed protected, so you technically can edit it, though you are right in that you should not edit it. Hope that clears things up? GoldRomean (talk) 22:18, 8 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Leading Paragraph Reword Request

edit

I've noticed that most filmmakers, including other claymation animators (e.g. Nick Park), have it somewhere in their leading paragraph that they've won an Oscar or a Golden Globe or somethin, and then a quick overview of the movies they've done.

Here all Adam's got is a description of what his movies are like, which is neat but looks jarring in comparison to other filmmakers of his status. Something along the lines of "He won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for Harvie Krumpet (2004) and went on to direct the featutres Mary and Max (2009) and Memoir of a Snail (2024), the latter of which he was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar" would make the opening paragraph be a lot easier to read for people who are unfamiliar with his work.

Winning an Oscar is a big deal, don't just have it be tucked away in some tiny section with almost no other info. Jimmybrendan (talk) 03:20, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
