Godfried Roemeratoe (born 19 August 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or right-back for Eerste Divisie club RKC Waalwijk.[1] Born in the Netherlands, he plays for the Curaçao national team.

Club career
editRoemeratoe made his Eerste Divisie debut for FC Twente on 21 December 2018 in a game against N.E.C. as a 90th-minute substitute for Matthew Smith.[2]
On 23 August 2021, he joined Willem II on loan for the 2021–22 season.[3]
International career
editIn March 2023, Roemeratoe received his first call-up to the Curaçao senior national team for the Nations League match against Canada and the friendly against Argentina.[4]
On 18 May 2026, he was named by head coach Dick Advocaat in the 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking the country's first-ever appearance at the tournament.[5]

editGodfried is of Indonesian descent from his family name "Roemeratoe" which originates from Seram in the Maluku Islands.[6]
