Delphi Interactive is a video game development and publishing company based in Los Angeles, California. The company focuses on video games based on existing properties and franchises. Delphi was founded in 2020 by Casper Daugaard. The company's first two games, the James Bond multiplatform title 007 First Light and an untitled FIFA game releasing through Netflix, are both scheduled to launch in 2026.[1]

History

edit

Daugaard formed Delphi Interactive in 2020.[1] The company's stated mission is to provide the brands and intellectual property (IP) owners with which it partners a unique level of creative alignment, compared to other video game publishers focused on their own IP.[1][2] Instead, Delphi licenses, finances, develops, and publishes games built around existing IP from other owners. Daugaard has stated that Delphi works outside of what he refers to as the "publisher industrial complex".[2][3]

Operations

edit

Andy Kleinman, president of Delphi Interactive, was previously an executive at Zynga[4] and Scopely, where he worked in licensing intellectual property for mobile games.[5] He was also CEO of Wonder, a smartphone startup.[6] Julien Merceron, who was previously worldwide technology director at Konami and Ubisoft,[7] joined the company as CTO in January 2026. He oversees technical and development strategy, with focus on the 2026 FIFA game.[1][8][9] Theodor Tang-Peronard is a partner and vice president of strategy and operations at Delphi Interactive; he is also an executive producer of the company’s FIFA game.[10][11]

Delphi is a part owner of Refactor Games, a developer of the 2022 football game Football Simulator.[1] Refactor, based at Delphi's headquarters in Los Angeles, is supporting Delphi's work on the 2026 FIFA game with Netflix.[12]

007 First Light

edit

First announced in 2020 under the title Project 007,[2] 007 First Light is a third-person action-adventure game[13] that tells an original standalone origin story of James Bond.[14] The game stars Patrick Gibson as young Bond, Priyanga Burford as M, Lennie James as Bond’s mentor John Greenway, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Noemie Nakai as Miss Roth, Gemma Chan as Selina Tan, and Lenny Kravitz as the antagonist Bawma.[14][15]

Delphi licensed the intellectual property from Eon Productions and Amazon MGM Studios.[16] IO Interactive is developing and publishing the game, scheduled for release in May 2026, in association with Delphi.[2][14] 007 First Light is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and GeForce Now.[13][17]

IO has stated that it intends 007 First Light, the first James Bond video game since 2012, as the start of a trilogy.[18][19]

Untitled FIFA game

edit

Delphi has announced a football simulation game, licensed by FIFA and playable exclusively on Netflix, to be released in summer 2026, coinciding with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.[3][20] Delphi is developing and publishing the game.[4][21][22]
