Peer Abdul Ahad Sahib (30 June 1930 – 26 July 2010), popularly known as Ahad Bab or Ahad Bub, was a Kashmiri Sufi saint and faith healer from Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir, India.^[1]

Early life

Peer Abdul Ahad Sahib was born on 30 June 1930 in Mohalla Ashpeer, Sopore, Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir.^[1] ^[2]

Career

At the age of 20, he joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police.^[3]

Spiritual life

After resigning from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Ahad Bab devoted himself to religious and spiritual activities.

Death

Peer Abdul Ahad Sahib died on 26 July 2010 after a prolonged illness.

His funeral in Sopore was attended by thousands of people from across Jammu and Kashmir.^[4] ^[5]

Legacy

His annual urs is observed in Sopore and is attended by devotees every year.^[6]
