Charlie Fraser Downes (born June 2001) is an English far-right political activist who currently serves as campaigns director for the far-right political party Restore Britain, since it was founded as a pressure group in 2025.[1][2][3] Downes was previously the campaign manager for independent candidate Andreas Michli during the 2024 London mayoral election.[4] In September 2024, he addressed a fringe event at Reform UK's party conference, calling for 'remigration'.[5] In February 2025, Ofcom received 73 complaints after Downes made transphobic remarks during a debate on GB News.[6] Anti-racism group Hope not Hate has reported that Downes is a racial nationalist, having stated that Britain was made up of people defined by an indigenous ancestry and Christian heritage.[7][8] Downes has written for the Daily Mail.[9]
