...Was anyone wondering whether I was dead? ^^' Yes, this is the longest time I've gone without updating since... well, probably last time I went on holiday, lol. Instead I've been having a lot of crack fun with vanillafire, including spending last night searching for an elusive Fuji/Saeki vs. Inui/Renji match which I *swore* existed, but of course, it took till we'd watched every other Senbatsu match before I realised it was in the first of the arc. #^^# Ah well, it's my favourite arc, so no loss there! ^_~

Also rewatched the Rikkai arc (except Sanada vs. Ryoma), because I'm not sure I've seen it on normal speed before, to be honest, and in any case, I'd only seen them once before. ^^' Controversially, I've decided I think Fuji vs Kirihara is handled better in the anime than in the manga, even though Kirihara is infinitely more evil. Also, I kind of prefer the anime D1 match too, because it's... well, a bit more plausible, to be honest! The switch thing always did make me roll my eyes a bit; it was an, ah, inventive idea, sure, but I think Konomi was fumbling a bit, lol. I'd been under the impression the matches were different cos they'd caught up with the manga, but Inui's match is practically a carbon copy of its manga counterpart, so I dunno. Inui vs. Renji has also taken its place as one of my favourites in the series, actually. And I've also developed a big liking for Inui/Renji - who'd've thought. -_- So yes, go on, I admit it: I HAVE FULLY GONE OVER TO THE YELLOW SIDE! @_@ I think Seigaku will always be my favourite team, but, on balance, I much prefer Rikkai to Hyotei. *ducks thrown objects* That said, we squeed so much over the Golden Pair/Silver Pair Senbatsu match (especially Ootori! ^_~) that I can't deny every team has its place in my fangirl heart. ^_~

Oh! And I finally solved my camera trouble! @_@ After much chasing around, I *finally* exchanged it for a new Olympus Mini-mju. It has a whole extra mega-pixel, and some other cool settings and stuff, and is much lighter and slimmer - and I only had to pay an extra £30 on top of the value of my old one. (Plus, I kept the card out of my old one, so woo-hoo all round!) Only problem was, I plugged it into my USB port last night and killed my computer briefly, so I'll have to worry about that a bit today, I guess. x_o Ah well, it's cute and black and shiny and WORKS! ^^;; I just hope I can get the photos off it!

Haven't got a job yet. Most applications close on Friday. Doh! That said, I still need to PASS MY PGCE and do my level 4, so maybe it's another year of temping while I do that. ^^'

...I've realised I actually do have quite a lot of stuff to say, but being as how I've rambled in fangirly fashion for a long time, I'll save the rest for now. ^^'

Have quite a few fics to rec too, actually, but I'll ration them out, lol - first, it's a Rikkai one (*cough*), by the marvellous pengiesama, another of her 30_kisses for SanaYuki. As usual, it's hilariously naughty. *grin* Mansex, Interrupted. ...I didn't realise it was called that till I looked it up just now. XD Any fic that includes the line "Bunta-sempai keeps on saying that Hermione should run off with the Giant Squid, but I know that Ron could love him better than she can!" deserves an award.

And finally... We have no milk! :O And I only remembered this *after* I'd made my cup of tea. -_- And no-one in the house (including me) is dressed yet, so I have no flunky to send to the shop. Bah! Black tea it is then! >.o

It was wonderful today to see laliho after so long! *cling* We mustn't wait, like, 2 years till next time! ^^' Went and saw The Descent, which was pleasingly scary, though to be honest, it was scarier when they were just trapped in the cave, before the monsters turned up - it was done very well, very claustrophobic and tense, but not over the top or dragging. Very entertaining! And nice and gory (in the good way, lol) too. ;)

Took camera to Dixon's, and they said it was pretty much dead, which is sad but they did say they usually just exchange them, so that's a relief. I don't have the receipt (well, I probably do, but I have no clue where to even start looking) but if I take it back to where I got it, with the card my mum used to buy it (^^') hopefully they can bring one up and sort it out. Hopefully. -_-

Also discovered mango is not what I thought it was. I didn't think I liked it, but I do. Yay. :9

Watched Birthday Girl as well this evening, which, again, I was pleasantly surprised by - it wasn't at all what I expected, and was much better for it. ^^' I especially liked that it was British - as was the Descent, incidentally (me, jingoistic? Nooooo) - and the League of Gentlemen cameos. XD They all got in there! I thought Ben Chaplin was excellent, and his character was really well done too. And Nicole Kidman sounded like she was doing a fairly decent job with the Russian, but of course, I couldn't confirm that. ^^' Her character was surprisingly sympathetic too, and I liked the ending. I love when things work out. ^_~

I would also like to announce, in the spirit of (one or two) others on my friends list, that not everyone cares about Harry Potter. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I did skip most of my friends list today. I feel like some kinda heretic to say it, and I really don't want to feel that way. In any case, I just can't read the way some of you folks seem to be doing. @_@ I have a short attention span, man! I can't do *any* one thing for more than two hours without a break! And even that long is pushing it!

...And, ironically, that's where I run out of steam for this post. ^^;;

Today has just been a catalogue of mishaps, mainly technological in nature, that I won't detail because I'll just get worked up again. Suffice it to say, the highlight of my day was realising that, due to the wonder of no-claims bonuses, I only had to pay £380 to re-insure my car, rather than the £450 I was expecting. Woo-hoo. That was when I finally talked to someone on the phone, the interweb having failed me; which it also did earlier AS DID THE DVLA PHONE SYSTEM when I tried to tax my car (no jokes please, I can't "tax" it if it's mine, can I? Anyone who gets that is knowledgeable in the ways of slang. I don't know *what* slang, but some.) Anyway. That'll be another £100, which means I'll actually have to put money into my account to be able to, well, live. That and buy a new TV licence, which will be another £120, but at least I can hit people up for that. -_-

To end this wonderful day, I've somehow broken my camera. Anyone who, by any freaky chance, has an Olympus Mju 410 Digital, WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN THE ORANGE AND GREEN LIGHTS BOTH FLASH AND IT WON'T TURN ON??? I'm so unbelievably mad I could cry, I honestly could. That's £200 worth of camera! And I don't have the troubleshooting guide, cos it's in the reference manual (that I can't find, if I ever even had it) which is on a CD COS THAT'S A SENSIBLE IDEA and I doubt I still have the receipt, and getting any information out of a firm who didn't sell you the thing is like blood from a fucking stone.

Ha, I said I wasn't going to detail everything, but guess what, I did. -_- And what do you know, it *did* make me worked up again.

I'm off to bed, cos I'm just so totally fucked off.
