ÉlectrO-CD

The term “ÉlectrO-CD” was first coined by Christian Zanési of the Groupe de recherches musicales ({acro:grm}, Paris, France) to name a series of meetings and concerts centred around the production of CDs of electroacoustic music (an idea of François Bayle, at the time, director of {acro:grm}) which took place on December 1993 at the Maison de la Radio (Paris, France). At the same time, Annette Vande Gorne, of Musiques & Recherches (Ohain, Belgium), was compiling a repertory of electroacoustic works recorded on compact disc titled Répertoire ÉlectrO-CD. The first edition of that catalog was launched during the ÉlectrO-CD event in December 1993 at La Maison de la Radio (Paris, France).

Electronic Team

The structure of the current site, opened on July 1st, 2017, is the 7th version of the original “10th anniversary” site of January 31st, 2000. Our sitemaster is David Turgeon, web@electrocd.com. The 6th version was opened on January 1st, 2011.
