Visitation from the powers.
the bear stopped by last night--tipped over the trash cans that had not been hauled away--
Then, climbed over the garden fence, did a Number on the Garden Shed (fish emulsion, and blood meal, both smell like Food to a bear) Every thing got 'looked into', bales of rice-hulls (for the privy) compost, other soil amendments, - - there Might be something good.. Mess, more than Damage.
*Hopeful Omnivore*
This was "our bear" who has been here before, and knows the way in that trashes the fence least (YAY!) up a Doug-fir on the outside of the fence, over the top, then back down--- "bear stile"
Other bears just bend the fence-and-posts out of the way--and deer get in, who eat *Everything*
--this is much nicer!
He was by last year, at Plum time, and once more, for the ripe apples.
Probably more, prospecting for trash, but we Try not to leave such obvious attractants around. Unless they are 'rummaging' bears are pretty quiet--glass recycling is Noisy when knocked over, however, so I had apretty good Idea what to expect

One comment on another blog pointed out that, according to Russian law, a journal may be considered "adult content" for just mentioning the existence of gay people.
And by the new terms, not marking a journal "adult" when it's got "adult content" may be a violation of Russian law.
Oh, and they're adding a lot more advertising, including claiming the right to send you ads at your LJ-connected email address.
Lotsa people deleting their LJs. I'll be removing mine soon.

community over to here--or copied the "good parts" ??
I wrote stuff there I was proud of (at least then) but have no skill to import/extract it--(I mea, I keep losing my Bookmarks--and lost all my "saved drafts of emails" going back Years!--I thought of them as "carbon paper"--Obviously NOT
I *Think* I have copied my Journal to here--and thus could delete it 'There' with no guilt

If you can go to pages you like, you can save them to your hard drive - just hit Control-S and save them into a folder called something like "Feri Comm Posts."

It almost feels from the way you wrote about it as if Master Bear's visit was a kind of blessing on the Land. May it prove to be so. I hope cleaning up all the mess was not too onerous.
I am reading Thomas Burnett Swann's novels--currently reading THE GODS ABIDE, and so I think of you and people we knew and loved who are on the Other Side now...
