So, Rob mentioned Shorty, so I suppose I should explain---The short guy got munched by a Much bigger dog-(four or five times his weight)--torn neck,(stitches) ear,(likewise; Deep in the ear, probably a torn ear drum, some damage too deep to be reached to properly close) some facial nerve damage- one eye does not blink right, needs eye-drops to keep from drying out---and the rest of his face looks lop-sided like he had a stroke, lips a bit droopy (not counting the shaved and swollen)
He is feeling a bit better today...but will soak up healing energy like a Sponge.
(and yes, he is getting chicken 'soup' ---boiled and shredded chicken thighs, some of the broth they made)
and eye-drops, ear-drops, pain-meds(two kinds), antibiotics--neck cone, and he gets carried 'cause the bondage device gets onto the neck wound

-and he IS drinking, (not as much as I might like) which is Good, (as injecting fluids is no fun)

pills are still not easy, even hand feeding him he is Suspicious of Every bite, and once I have tricked him he will refuse Any for a while---but I switch up offerings, and persevere.(I think he knows I would force them if he refused utterly)
He is still working it(being pathetic) for all the extra energy he can cop
--and we will be Home tomorrow night which will relieve the stress (on both of us) of staying in the same house with the dog who did this.
His left eye is still not blinking --that is the thing that worries me *Most*.
the ear is oozing less, and will heal-- and whether he hears on that side or not

She thinks his lip looks less droopy, and if the nerve to the eye was Also just bruised, we *might* still see blink recovery.
(so healing aimed at that would be way cool)
He has lost a couple of ounces, so is getting (almost) enough to eat.
ear healing---still messy, but I am working on cleaning it, warm wet cloth, to remove, bit by bit, dried ooze and scabs
We get to go home tomorrow night!
he still is not trusting me about food, since I keep hiding pills in it(even cheese-cake) I may give in and Just dry-pill him. He will Hate it, but at least I won't be Tricking him.

ah yes the pill thing lol.
my chocolates can detect the slightest trace of "foreign object" in food. My yellow, on the other hand, all we have to do is toss it to her, and she just swallows it.
We've had interesting convos between the five of us over medicine :-)
We have some extra dog power working on it this week, since we are sitting my brothers two.
