Embergrim
Embergrim - a dicebuilding tactics rpg
The sun has died, and the land has been cast into an unending darkness. You and your companions are the last remnants of the kingdom of Embergrim. Defend the final flame from the spirits of the dead, and we may yet restore light to the land.
Embergrim is a tactics game: The dead descend upon you. If you wish to survive, you will need to be clever. Carefully position against their attacks, and carefully time your counterattacks. Every tile, every turn, and every point of damage matters.
Embergrim is a dicebuilding roguelike: As you forage and forge new weapons, they are added to your dice. Each and every turn, your dice is rolled, and each and every turn, you are stuck with the weapon you rolled. Your fate lies in the roll of the dice.
Embergrim is a narrative rpg: Your journey from the Darkwood to the Ashlands will be long, but you will not be alone. Meet other wayward travelers, hear their stories, and rest together around the campfire.

Embergrim was originally developed as part of Pigsquad's Build-your-own-Game-Jam, and now for Pigsquad's Summer Slow Jams!! These act as our waypoints, so we do not wander too far off the path and get lost in that deep dark glade of game dev.

who's the artist for this? there's no quick way to see credits that I can find, so I figured I'd just ask
Frogwild! I'll add a credits to the itch description for quicker access :]
Thank you!
This was absolutely awesome! Looking forward to the full release. I did have a couple characters overlap at the start of the final battle but was otherwise bug free.
It's finally happening! I'm so excited! Great work guys! It's looking great so far!
the fact that I go to get treasure and then see "this will be in the real game!" and a mysterious encounter only to be "in the real game!"
Love it! Cool to see the evolution from BYO game jam!
looks great! feels like it'll really come together when it's all built out; keep it up! :3
Well, the art is there. Good luck on making the game!
Thank you. Good luck to you
