So the other day I was making a list of some 'classic' general fics for someone newer to the community and I know there's a few other 'newbie' guides out there, but hopefully this will only further help everyone :)

Under The Cut :

I ask you to note that while this is to help people newer to the fandom become familiar with some of the areas there are that it can also help older fans expand their horizon and find some new favorites, perhaps.

A/N: Written for combat_jack. This story was inspired by Rosi Golan's Been a Long Day, a beautiful song that I had on repeat throughout this entire process. You can listen to it here. I would also like to note that absolutely no disrespect was meant by the theme of this sensitive topic. I tried very hard to deal with it in a realistic manner that would maintain due respect for the subject at hand, and I hope it came across that way. Warnings/Author Note : This fic deals with some post-war psychological situations. I feel it's incredibly important to respect the situation and all those who face it today. While doing all that I had to keep in mind the time period I was writing in so I hope I was able to do that in a way that was both realistic and respectful. I thoroughly enjoyed working with this piece and am considering writing a bit more :) The quote below served as an inspiration for this.
