~~ONE DAY LEFT! AUCTION ENDS 2-15~~ I am auctioning my Cake or Death mug that I purchased at Eddie Izzard's Stripped show years ago. The mug has never been used and has been collecting dust for some time so I decided to pass it on to the highest bidder.
Title: Sexy Tunes Fandom: Eddie Izzard - Standup Routines Characters: Mrs Badcrumble and her husband, Mr Badcrumble Rating: PG Summary: During the 1418 war, Mrs Badcrumble invents orgasms, to the tune of Snug as a Bug in a Rug. On a hang glider. Notes: 340 word yuletide treat written for northern_star. Based on this Izzard routine.
Today I started summer school and I have just been dreading it. It's the US in the 20th Century and while, I do enjoy history, I just can't get excited about going to school straight from work 2 days a week for 3 hours. It keeps me up past my bedtime. ;)
Anyway, we were discussing Imperialism and "The New Manifest Destiny." At the end of the class, the professor opened his web browser and said "I want to show this. Here's a comedian who's really funny and really knows his history."
He showed the bit from Dress To Kill "Do you have a flag?"
I'm on board with any professor who can fit Eddie into a lecture. :)
I was rewatching some of his shows a few days ago and the next thing I knew, I was making icons. :P
They're, um, kinda all the same because I didn't have much time, but I hope you enjoy anyway. And OKAY, yes, #43 was just thrown in because otherwise it wouldn't be a nice even number. ;)
[01 - 10] Definite Article (1996) [11 - 43] Live at Wembley (2009) [44 - 80] Stripped Too (2009)
Out of curiosity, has anybody here seen both Sexie and Live from Wembley? How do they compare? I've seen clips from both on Youtube and it *seems to me* that Wembley has the edge, but it's impossible to tell without watching them all the way through. Thoughts?
