We are the leading intergovernmental organization within the UN system, dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration since 1951.
In Europe and Central Asia, IOM has 51 Member States, country offices in 47 locations and more than 4,900 staff. The Regional Office, based in Vienna, covers 56 countries and territories.
Our regional strategic plan brings greater coherence and impact to IOM’s activities in Europe and Central Asia and allows for a joined-up approach to the way the Organization designs and delivers its operations.
The Regional Director leads strategy and policy across Europe and Central Asia, ensuring the effective implementation of migration programmes, supporting migration dialogues, and fostering partnerships with key institutional stakeholders.
