Hi guys, thank you for the helps last time. I have one more question, please help!

My friend has this problem. Her natural hair is light brown. She dyed it semi-permanently (toning) to black around 3 months ago. The black color had faded a little over time. Her hair became not really really black anymore, it's just super dark brown. However, she wanted red hair after that. So she dyed her hair red permanently. The result was now she has red hair on the roots (because that's the part where her hair had re-grown and was not affected by the black toning before), but the rest is still dark brown.

My question is, can the semi-permanent color fade if she keeps on washing and shampooing her hair regularly? I believe semi-permanent can fade if we do that, but my friend has already topped it with a permanent.. So I don't know.. :(

I'd appreciate your answers very much. And sorry for the bad English, I'm not a native. ;)
