It's finally time for Challenge 58! This week we'll end on Friday night, unless there aren't enough entries, and then I'll extend to Saturday, due to the 'lateness' of this being posted. ;)

So, I hope you think this week's subjects are as exciting as I think they are! First, your New Who subject is the very first Ten adventure, The Christmas Invasion. Of course, it's hard to say it's a Ten adventure, because he's asleep half the time, trying to survive his regeneration! Meanwhile, Rose, Jackie and Mickey are torn between trying to help him and figuring out what to do as a gigantic spaceship appears in the sky over London! Your Classic Who challenge is Five and Turlough. Vislor Turlough was originally a double agent for the Black Guardian, but found himself too loyal in the end to the Doctor to carry out his 'assignment'. The ruthless, cunning ginger from Trion was slightly cowardly and often captured, but was, in the end, always a faithful companion to Five, and now we want you to icon them together! Finally, for your Various challenge, it's Davros and the Daleks. Icon that age-old enemy of the Doctor from any era, New or Classic, along with his menacing pepperpot minions.

It's time for Challenge 57! Looks like we're running on last week's schedule again, sorry about that, but the voting for the last two weeks is up, so please go vote!!

For your New Who challenge, it's My Favorite S4 Monster! Think of what your favorite monster has been from this past season and then find a great cap of it to icon. Of course, the definition of monster is pretty loose. It could be the Adipose, technically harmful but absolutely innocent and adorable, or the likes of the Daleks and the Sontarans, known enemies and strange creatures in their own rights. Why, even the Host from Voyage of the Damned and the suit-inhabiting Vashta Neruda of Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead could be considered monsters. Your Classic Who challenge this week is that Second Doctor episode The Macra Terror. The Doctor, Polly, Ben and Jamie find themselves on a strange utopian colony planet where not everything is as joyful as it seems, much as the inhabitants would like them to believe otherwise. Soon they discover that the colony is infested by the devious Macra and all the people are mind-controlled slaves, working in the secret mines below the earth to free the gasses that the crab-insects feed upon ... and are unfortunately taken prisoner as well. Can the Doctor and his companions break free and consequently free the colony from the terrible control of the Macra? And can you icon it? XD Finally, your Various challenge this week is The Dream Team. Stretch your imaginations and think what your absolute dream of a TARDIS team would be!

It's finally time for Challenge 56! This week, due to the time weirdness of the posting and so forth, this Challenge will close Monday and will hopefully be immediately followed by both a voting post AND the next Challenge. I want to get us back on track!

So, this week we have some great topics! For New Who we have the suspenseful Season 4 episode, Midnight. The Doctor goes off alone to see the sights on the mysterious crystal planet Midnight, but when the tour shuttle comes to an unplanned halt, things start to go terribly, terribly wrong. This one's a challenge for sure, considering it's practically ONE location. ;) The Classic subjects are those fantastic companions of Four & Five, Tegan & Nyssa. Show us these two fantastic females in all their glory, whether they're helping each other or the Doctor. Finally, we have your Various challenge, Creative Font. Whether it be for decoration or in the form of a quote or just general text of some sort, show us a Who icon that employs great font to the best of your ability!

It's time for Challenge 54! Your New Who challenge this week is the Season 4 episode, The Doctor's Daughter. Ten, Donna and Martha crash land on a war torn planet populated by clones ... and the Doctor is in for a sharp surprise. I especially like the caps for this one this week, so enjoy! The Classic subject is the Fourth Doctor. Any episode, any series or serial, we want to see the be-scarfed, curly-haired, madly grinning Four in all his glory! It's finally time for Challenge 53! I'm all moved and sorted for the moment, and I am back to bring you your challenge for this week! First, your New Who challenge is the Happy Doctor. Nine and Ten aren't always angry and stomping about the place. Both of them have times of lightness and joy, and it's those moments that you get to capture this week! Your Classic Who challenge is the Sixth Doctor serial, Vengeance on Varos. When the Doctor and Peri are forced to make an emergency landing, they discover that the planet is inhabited by a savage society whose central source of televised entertainment is torture and execution ... and the Doctor could be next! Finally, your Various challenge is Quote and Moment. Think of a great Who quote, then icon it with an appropriate cap from that scene. So, your quote and your cap should be from the same scene!

It's finally time for Challenge 50, as I'm all caught up in moving stuff, so we'll be going to Saturday again. This week is a special challenge ... because it's our Year anniversary! Well, maybe it's a week or two late, but I wanted to celebrate it in style. So I decided to go back and pick three of my favorite challenges from the past year for you to take another crack at! Also, there will be a Most Creative category on the voting for this week, so there's another chance for icon notoriety!

Your special Challenges this week start with New Who's Donna Noble! Ah, yes, our poor, beloved Donna. When we first had her as a challenge, she was just announced as the new Companion for the fourth season, and we'd only seen her in The Runaway Bride, along with some promo shots. Now we've got a whole season of Donna, and you've a wealth of materiel, so choose well! Your Classic challenge this week is The Classic Masters. I loved when we did the Masterly challenge, and you all showed how much you enjoyed all the different forms of the Master from Classic Who. Well, now you can demonstrate again how very iconable this iconic figure is! Finally, your Various challenge is that spinoff of spinoffs, Torchwood. When we did the first challenge, they had only just released the Martha promo shots, and the speculation of what would happen in the new season was running rampant. Well, now that S2 is in the books, you've got a whole new season to plunder for inspiration ... although, don't forget about S1, too!

It's finally time for Challenge 48. I'm sorry this didn't go up until midweek, but I've been ill (woo fever and earache!). So, since it's already Wednesday, I'm going to make it really easy, partially for your sake and partially for mine - there will only be three categories this week, and they'll all be your choice. It's a Summer Free for All!! So for New and Classic Who, you might think of your most favorite subject, the one you've always wanted to icon. It could be your favorite Doctor, favorite moment, favorite episode, companion or baddie. Be creative in your choices, because the more creative you are, the better chances you'll stand out from the pack! Then, for Various, I'm gonna rein you in a tiny bit and give you a category - It Takes Two. It's pretty much what it sounds like: find a great cap of two characters together and make an icon of that.

The Challenge this week will be open until Saturday - I'm hoping that'll be enough time for everyone, since it was up late. ^_^

It's time for Challenge 47! ... And I'm back. I want to thank my wonderful assistant Mod, kennedy_unknown, for running the contest so well in my absence. He's been so kind to make a difficult time much easier for me by taking care of you guys. Thanks so much! Also, I apologize for the changing of the Classic Challenge, as I did not look closely enough at the subjects run in my absence. >.<

Now, for the challenges! First, for New Who, the Doctor is known by many names, my favorite of which has to be The Oncoming Storm, coined by the Daleks for his determination, stormy anger and sadness, and the doom that follows in his wake. For this challenge, you can choose Nine or Ten, but show the Doctor at his absolute stormiest. Using the term on the icon, or some other text, is up to you. Your Classic Who challenge is The Stones of Blood. As Four and Romana search for the pieces of the Key to Time, they land near a mysterious ancient stone circle. But the Doctor will learn there is more to it than meets the eye when they have to face the blood-thirsty followers of Cailleach and learn the stones' strange secret. Finally, for your Various challenge, we want to see Cutouts. Show your creativity with any subject in the Whoniverse you care to choose and remove them somehow from their original background, then show us your results!!

It's finally time for Challenge 43! Sorry about the wait, everyone. Depending on the turnout, I may be persuaded to extend entries into Saturday. ;)

This week we start with Jack Harkness' Smile for New Who. So many of us enjoy and adore that dashing rascal of a companion, Captain Jack Harkness. Well, this week, your challenge is to icon his big, brilliant smile. Yes, he can get angry, frustrated, but whether he's flirting or facing down Daleks, one of Jack's most disarming weapons is to smile, and to capture it is your challenge this week! Then, for your Classic challenge, we have a Third Doctor adventure, The Daemons. Blink wasn't the first time the Doctor and friends have faced down moving statues, you know. Of course, in this serial, he was assisted by Jo and UNIT, and also faced off with morris dancers, evil cultists, and his greatest nemesis, the Master. Finally, for your Various challenge, we have Silence. An icon that is silent means no text, large or tiny, and possibly even encapsulating the idea in and of itself.
