After a long day of fishing, Hopper returns to the harbor to dock his boat and head on home. He gets back to his truck and realizes he left his phone on the boat. His decision to go back and get it might be the last choice he ever makes.

(little developers note here: this is definitely not my first time working on a game (I have many a failed projects under my belt) but this is my first time working on a game in GBstudio, in this style, in this genre, and to completion and releasing it. I'm not the happiest at how it turned out but I'm definitely not disappointed and I'll take it as a good stepping stone for my future games. anyways I hope you enjoy!)

(also, if you did enjoy the game and want to keep up with my future games, be sure to follow me here on itch or on twitter/bluesky for exclusive teasers and sneak peaks! but only if you want to of course)

Support me on Ko-fi! (once again, only if you can and want to). one small tip goes a long way towards supporting my game-making endeavors!

i saw a poster in my school about this game and i took a photo of it. i will say this game is pretty fun, its a nice short little horror game, a solid 9/10

Huh, interesting, wonder who put that up. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Fresh-feeling game, I enjoyed the mood, it had nice ambience. The chance to grill NPCs was a welcome surprise. Ending feels like you might have wanted to do more with it and ran out of time, but it wasn't dissatisfying. I got the escape ending.

Short but very sweet. Thanks for making it!

Thanks for commenting! You pretty much hit the nail right on the head with that assessment, except for the running out of time part, I was just so ready to release my first game that I shipped it out despite wanting to do more. But hey, that's what remasters are for right? I'm glad you thought the game wasn't dissatisfying, I was kinda worried that with the "build up" not really having anything to build tension, that the ending would fall pretty flat. Thanks again for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

5/5

I loved this!! The art was really cool, the characters were funny, I would love to be able to do more as the player but there's so much room for expansion and I'd love to see more!

(3rd game in the video)

Glad you liked the art! I am planning on revisiting this game sometime in the not to far off future for a remaster to make this game everything it could have been (and to connect it more to the other games in it's collection), so if you DO in fact want to see that, be sure to follow me! Thanks for playing!

I really enjoyed this one, even though I’m pretty bad at the running part. Just to check, there are only two endings to this game, right? cant wait to see more from you :3

so glad you enjoyed it Aina! to answer your question, yes there are only 2 endings to the game, there was originally supposed to be a third ending which you would have gotten if you died to the "Monster" though but I decided not to add that for time reasons. also glad to hear you'll be keeping your eyes on me! I'll be participating in the upcoming Scream Jam so you'll see more from me very soon.

Bug report:
After picking up the phone, you can leave and reenter the area behind the gate, and it will reset the progress as if it was your first time behind the gate

Bug reported, thank you very much for letting me know, I'm in the process of releasing a patch today so I'll make sure to get this one fixed before release

Nice demo.  The chair on the boat took many tries to activate the dialog, everything else worked fine.

Noted, ill be sure to take a look at that while I'm bug fixing,  thank you for playing!
