I can has new Muse! Reviewing The Resistance



See that cover? THE FUCKING FSK TAKES ABOUT A 3RD OF THE CORNER FOR IT FOR ITS STICKERS. I can read, I don't need huge labels to tell me the Youth Is Safe. FUCK YOU, FSK. I get angry every time I look at it, which is so not what I pay good money for. That's what I get for buying CDs. Hooray. WHERE DO I COMPLAIN!? I want to kick someone.

All in all: I'll listen to more songs from it than I do from Black Holes and Revelations and Absolution (oh, the fast forwarding I do in the car for that one...), but not the entire album like I still do for Origin of Symmetry. So I won't complain about the number of tracks, it's fine. But there's is nothing more awesome than ending a song with the sound of a Geiger counter, a jet doesn't outdo that...

So, The Resistance: Not enough Rock, too much cheese, but very awesome album cover. Where do I get that poster/t-shirt? Let's hope they rock live, at least. I don't fancy doing a waltz on a concert...

ETA: The bonus DVD is quite nice (shut up, it was only 2 Euros more), the menu is made up like a PC from the 80ies. And it gives us proof that there's Who geekness there. *g*

Hell is freezing over

Yes, despite the light and the sun and me sweating and me being a total wreck because of that heat, hell will truly freeze over in just about under an hour.

Everybody German on my flist should go and buy the FAZ immediately. There's a splendid article about Doctor Who in the Feuilleton that just made my day. Thanks to aervir for pointing it out.
Whoever wrote this must be a complete fan; he's mentioning regeneration, City of Death, Tom and Colin Baker and Genesis of the Daleks, even New Earth, Daleks and some minor hints to the Christmas Invasion. And the best thing? There's a picture of David Tennant in The Jacket!
It's so weird to read it in German. But he was smart enough not to translate Time Lord or 'Exterminate'. Yet I'm not too sure about 'Zeitkrieg'.
