Description:
We fly to beauty as an asylum from the terrors of finite nature.
The Duck's Asylum is inhabited by 
pandora_blue, ohno_jonathan_o, rubye_tuesday, a Little Human, two ungraceful cats, one loud dog, and a small Shetland Pony (not really, she's actually a dog, too... we think).
This is our Journey into making a house a home. We moved to Rio Rancho, NM in July of 2009. We have a 1/4 acre lot and are trying to make it as hospitable and comfortable as possible. While not entirely rural, our home is surrounded by fantastic views and it is nice and quiet (generally).
This journal will be us waging the war against remodeling, organizing, cleaning, and just generally living our lives. We are attempting to also be a bit more self-sustaining. We will probably be making photo posts and recipe posts whenever we feel like it, too!
