Sometimes I do think this website is digitally segregated 😅 because I remember so much of the racism around discussions of AO3 on here. There have been numerous events, multiculturally targeted, even. For years. So many of my friends of color were in the thick of them. Shit was like war out here. Not even just AO3 stuff, a BUNCH of racism-motivated occurrences. Over and over. People have horror stories.

And yet... It's like people somehow don't ever remember them? When you bring them up? "But for me, it was discourse" yeah it sure was Tuesday, for those of you not witnessing casually thrown slurs, stereotyping, and dehumanizing towards people of color over some damn fanfic 😭 it must be nice
