The Dresden Dolls Icon Challenge

This community has...obviously...been dead for quite a while now.

You may have see this poll over at dresdendolls, I'm thinking about starting up a Dresden Dolls LIMS community. So I come here asking how many of you would be interested in participating.



What is a LIMS?

[X] LIMS stands for Last Icon Maker Standing, each week you will be givin a challenge, the members will vote for their least favorite icon untill there are 3 left. At this point the members will vote for their favorite icon and we will then have our round winner.

[X] Challenge 1 will be open to everyone, at this point you will sign up before you enter and this will ensure your spot in the round untill you are either eliminated or the last icon maker standing.

The results of the other poll were 3 yes, 9 no, and 6 possibly. More negative votes than obvious positive votes so I am coming here. I would really like to start up another dolls icontest community, so let me know what you guys think!

Finally I have the voting for the last Challenge! Since you could enter as many icons as you would like, the voting is going to be set up a little different. Each picture from the contest is going to have a winner,or two, instead of there being a first, second, and third for the entire thing. Sorry if that doesn't make sense. Anyways..( Collapse )

dresdendolls_ic is back!

I know I have been a horrible mod and completely ignored this community for a month. I did have my reasons though. Mainly, I received a promotion at work so I went from working maybe twenty hours a week to forty. Plus, I work in retail and it's the holiday season. I was a bit tired and stressed to say the least. Now the holiday season has come to an end and I will have a lot more time to devote to this community. This week I will be catching the community up with the last two challenges. I know I have results to post from one and voting for another. The new challenge will be up by this weekend. I will also announce the results from the first round of the point system. It will of course start over from this. Again I am really sorry for neglecting the community for so long and will make up for it.

There are only two entries in for this week. As lovely as the entries are, I am going to keep the contest open for a few more days to get more entries in. I will probably only leave it up for one or two more days.

Also, I have a lot going at work right now, which is why the updating has beens so crazy lately. I'm thinking of getting a new mod to help around here. ladybug1219 and I have lots of fun stress adding up so it would be nice to have some more help . If you're interested leave a comment, but please only leave a comment if you really want to help run this community and make it better.

The Points Post has been updated. I updated the points and the prizes.

After voting for Contest Six, the winners will be announced and the points will be wiped. I decided to start the points over after every two months to make it fair, but let me know if you have a problem with that.

All prizes will be given out a few days before or after November 18th because that is my next pay day. Sorry for the wait, but I don't have enough in my account right now to buy the prizes and still get gas and other things I need.

Remember that voting has started and Contest Seven has been posted.

Just to warn some of you, an icon in Challenge Two has some nudity. Nothing major but I don't want anyone to get upset that all of sudden there were breasts. So don't look if it will offend you.

I feel the need to remind the community of a few things. Nothing has really become a problem yet but I want to say soemthing before it does.

•Do not take an icon from this challenge without asking the maker first. You probably want to credit them also.
•Do not vote for yourself.
•Challenge two cannot have pictures of the Dresden Dolls. If you use the lyrics on a Dresden Dolls icon, it's automatically becoming part of Challenge One and Challenge One only.

I hope that didn't sound too bitchy. I only put it in bold to make sure people saw it. Also this week you can enter more than one icon. You can enter ten million icons if you like, just follow the rest of the rules.

You still have two days to get in icons for the current contest.
I would still like a few more entries in before Saturday especially since I extended the contest.
There is an extra challenge this week and tons of pictures to work with, so get those icons in.
