My comment to an entry 'Deleting My Accounts' by the_bluesuede
Dear Blue,
Thank you for all your wonderful stories! I am sad to hear that you have been inundated with spam and understand your concern about protecting your intellectual property. You clearly put your heart and soul into your writing.
In 2012, what started as online shopping for a green leather jacket led me to what became my years-long addition: Chollie fanfic. (The internet and targeting cookies really do know what I would like – Scary!)
“Extraordinarily Ordinary” was one of the first Chollie stories I read and the quality of your writing, and that of other talented writers, had me hooked on this ship and Chlollie fanfic. I loved reading and re-reading your stories as a pick-me-up, to start my day, or to unwind at the end of the day – depending on what I needed. I also appreciated your author’s notes and willingness to share some of your personal life and thoughts with the community.
Most of your stories were complete by the time I found the Chlollie community, so I was able to enjoy them uninterrupted. But I also got to experience the thrill of episodic posting in “Never a Bride,” reading the chapters, author’s notes, and comments in real time.
I cannot really explain (to myself or other people) why I became so obsessed with a ship and community after the TV show ended its run, but I know a large part had to do with your stories. Your creativity, and the depth you gave the characters, made your work stand out and left a lasting impression.
You are an extremely talented writer. Thank you so much for your writing and providing what was for years, my “happy place.”
Best wishes for everything you do. I am positive that you are, and will continue to do, amazing things!
(Now I’m off to read your stories before June 30! 🥰)
