A Little Knowledge Can Go a Long Way

After six months on www.paperbackswap.com, I've finally acquired all the Harry Potter books in hardback. Now I just have to read them!! Maybe I'll start once finals are over.

phil_urich wrote a great Lysander/Roxanne story about them raising a child called A Long Time Coming. I love the way he writes this couple... Lysander is deaf and it makes for a some interesting dynamics.

I'm watching Ken Burn's documentary on Huey Long. It got me thinking about some political truisms. What do you think?

I finally saw HBP, it was enjoyable and there were definitely a number of parts I thought were done well. However, there were some parts from the book that I really missed not seeing in the movie. Of course, the big unanswered question is just where in the world are they going to hold Bill and Fleur's wedding now, eh???

Turned in my smrw_ficafest entry yesterday. It's nice to have it off my desk. Now I don't have anything do until Sept. That means I might actually get back to The Dragon and the Rose and another long-term project that just needs a bit of focus from me to get it completed.

The amazing phil_urich, who for some reason indulges me to no end, wrote 4 FANTABULOUS drabbles. Although I love them all, I'm going to give a special *nod* towards the one about Lysander/Roxanne cuz his take on them is really original and this drabble in particular is just AMAZING.
