Lindsey McDonald here. I'm not generally the type to come out and introduce myself; I prefer to hang back and figure out exactly who everyone else is and what they're about before I even let on that I'm around. But an old Nepali monk who taught me some fancy swordplay told me the only way I'd ever get what I wanted was to take a chance on people. I figured since he'd never given me bad advice (except the bit about milking the mountain goat) that I might as well try it.

So here's some stuff about me: I used to work for an evil law firm called Wolfram and Hart. Now when I say evil, I don't mean the 'bill you for two hours even though your consult only lasted and hour and five minutes' evil. That's regular law-firm evil. I'm talking 'reneg on your bill and they'll feed your first-born to a snake-demon from the 5th circle of hell' evil and 'keeping the wheels of the apocalypse in motion' evil. In short, they're not people to mess about with. Come to think of it, many of them aren't people at all.

Anyway, I had a crisis of faith a while back and I left the firm. They own me still, of course; they have all their 'promising employees' sign over their souls when they're hired. Still, they didn't want me to leave, so I had to run. I went to Nepal, where I learned some fancy fighting tricks and a bit of magic. And now I'm back and not running anymore, though I'm not really sure what comes next.

Oh, and did I mention, there's a tremendously self-righteous, annoying, broody, sexually-repressed vampire with a soul named Angel who once chopped off my hand? I think I'd like to pay him a visit; catch up on old times.

Oh wow hey, so I have to introduce myself yeah?

Okay well my name's Cassie, I've just turned 17, only I had to celebrate it in the clinic. See I tried to kill myself a while ago, for reasons that I'm pretty much over now, so I'm getting better and I hope to get soon then I'll be able to go back to college with all my friends. I really miss them, but I'm hoping to make a few new friends here.

When I'm not in the clinic I live at home with my mum, dad and baby brother Reuben in Bristol. Only I used to spend quite a lot of time at my friends, just you know partying and stuff, since they never really seemed to notice what I was up to. They didn't even notice when I stopped eatting, I guess they have more important things to think about.

So anyway it's nice to meet you all.
