I am so sick of hearing about a possible recession. Based on the money we made by moving to recession stocks, paper, oil, etc., I'd say that ship has sailed.
I gave up on finding my pass. I looked everywhere. I went to A Basin, showed them my original receipt, and got a new pass printed. The guy felt bad for charging me the $25 reprint fee and even worse when he saw my picture. He offered to retake it as it "clashed" with this year's background. I laughed, told him I was fine with the pic, and thanked him for his time.
The first run was a little icy, but I timed my appearance well. It started softening up pretty quickly. There were a ton of people up there. I got in a good five runs before I gave up on the lift lines. I was willing to wait 30 minutes for a 2 minute run, but not 45. My muscles are a little unhappy with me. It seems they forgot how to work.
I had a magnificent day at work today. I emailed and told them I wasn't coming in unless they actually had stuff for me to do. They did! I went to the office and they had a bunch of forms, enough to keep me busy up til lunch. I then switched hats to working with the Women's National Team stuff. Later, they handed me this totally fucked up spreadsheet. They had bulk uploaded two teams and the database ate them and spit out something entirely different. I fixed it.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS (AP) - A Glenwood Springs animal shelter is trying to find homes for 86 cats rescued from a two-bedroom condominium.
The Colorado Animal Rescue Shelter received the cats on Wednesday. Since then, workers have been scrambling to accommodate the animals at area shelters and homes. Executive director Leslie Rockey says many appear to be healthy but in need of a bath.
Garfield County sheriff's spokeswoman Tanny McGinnis says the cats were strays taken in by a woman. The woman called for help, saying she couldn't take care of the cats while moving from her Battlement Mesa condo.
The woman's name was not released because no charges were filed.
