eh, she's seen bigger.

Too much rigging.  I've forgotten how to draw.  Dur.

I didn't have this problem when I was doing hand drawn animation.

Also, where have all my 3Bs and 4Bs gone? I lurve them best.

Look out world, Science is here.

I thought you might enjoy some nerdy listening material.  I'm subscribed the Symphony of Science's email list so I was thrilled to get and email from them telling me they had a new song, Poetry of Reality.  This generally isn't my kind of music but the supreme nerdiness makes my heart swell with joy.  If you haven't seen them yet  Glorious Dawn and We Are All Connected are also awesome.

And then there was a joyfully nerdy musical guest on Rachel Maddow.  Or was he a geek?  He was the final guest to top of Maddow's Geek Week, which was awesome.  I like Maddow in general but I love her all the more for exposing and celebrating her love for geekery on her show.

Also if you haven't heard TED is pretty awesome (though they were kinda dick to Sarah Silverman).

Literary Style

Lately I have been enjoying a couple of fine writers. There's James Thurber whose short stories have become a regular Friday feature on Keith Olberman's show and Dalton Trumbo whose book of letters I lucked into finding at my library (it's out of print). But rather than extol the virtues of their writing I am compelled to praise them for their style. Their wonderful, nerdy mustachioed style.

Hillman of the Hills

I'm not sure I can understand what about the idea of a hair cut puts that baleful look in Hillman's eyes.  Perhaps some distant corner of his mind reels with thoughts of Delilah's emasculation of Samson or some faint idea equating the loss of his beard with castration.  Or maybe he is remembering that Billy Lee used those very shears to put out Erastus' eye two summers back. It is impossible to know what dark thoughts try his spirit and glaze his eyes.  Hillman does not speak of these things.

But it's an Indian summer and it's impossible to keep the ticks out of his whiskers.  Sometimes it sucks to be Hillman.

thoughts on movies I will never see

or I love you Milla Jovovich, but this isn't working.

For some reason the idea that "The Fourth Kind" exists bothers me to an irrational extent.  I blame it on the near certainty of the avalanche of irrationality that no doubt forms the foundation, framework and rain gutters on this monstrosity.

Milla, a little career advice, less aliens more ass-kicking.
that must be it.

a clever diversion

here I will provide other peoples items of interest rather than come up with my own.

you may have already seen the titillating trailer for "Wheelchair Werewolf" but if you haven't you should check it out here.

then there's this, which really needs no explaination.

and here is a scientific explanation of God, if God is Dr. Frankenstein and you are a pickle....a pickle that sadly isn't protected by the Geneva convention.
