Neck

Useless

 This world,
Ruled by sparkly rocks,
and useless metals that glitter.
Wading in lakes and streams for veins and dreams of elements.
They don't know of the periodic table,
but they know that if they aren't able,
their overruling masters won't know pity.

Oh great Owner please don't send your dogs on my new child.
Young and old, search for shiny rocks.
Pull the industries by the roots of gems and their locks.
Economies running on God knows what,
you mean that rock?
How can you pay for life with bullets, jewelry, and paper?
Better,
how can you name yourself the king?
I fear your oil, Mr. Owner.
Mr. Banker, your money leaves me shaking in the night.
The last free man I saw, lived off of soup kitchens and a battered map.
He sat beneath a bridge.
And on warm summer nights, he was the only one who slept without contrition.
No more money.
No more pebbles or earth residue that shines.
A quiet anarchy.
He died without a debt.
