Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping Ep1 & 2 - I’m not going to be doing a full play by play review/recap/whatever you want to call it of this series, BUT I will say that I really enjoyed these first two episodes and they made me laugh really hard. I especially loved the therapy sketch, which hit rather too accurately for both me and P. XD
A Double Dilemma (Pokemon Advanced) - NORMAN is a celebrity?!
Love, Petalburg Style! (Pokemon Advanced) - Not to sound like I’m clutching my pearls, but I don’t think Pokemon is equipped to tell this kind of story.
Balance of Power (Pokemon Advanced) - God I hate Max. Bonnie, who fulfilled a similar purpose in the narrative, was screaming for her brother’s blood. I miss Bonnie!!
A Six Pack Attack! (Pokemon Advanced) - Once again, I am rooting for Team Rocket.
The Bicker the Better (Pokemon Advanced) - Please stop doing battle of the sexes episodes, I beg of you.
Grass Hysteria! (Pokemon Advanced) - This is the gen 3 Anime. Why are there no gen 3 grass Pokemon in this??
Hokey Pokeballs (Pokemon Advanced) - You know when Racehorses retire, and go father a lot of babies? That’s what Ash’s Bulbasaur is doing now.
Whishcash and Ash (Pokemon Advanced) - LOVED this one. Whishcash was such an admirable troll!
Also, Jessie? JESSIE? DO NOT THROW MULTIPLE FEEBAS AWAY, JESSIE!
New Life and New Civilizations (Star Trek: SNW) - This DID feel very Star Trek, but unfortunately in the manner of that episode in series 7 of TNG where they forgot how evolution worked. Or in the manner of Threshold, but without any of the fun.
This wasn’t enjoyable. It wasn’t an offence to the senses like CERTAIN series finales I can name this year, but it basically just didn’t hit at any point. I’m sorry, I just don’t care that much about Batel. I’m irritated that they almost gave M’Benga interesting stuff to do, then forgot all about him. I fundamentally disagree with the concept of a universal evil, ESPECIALLY in a Star Trek setting; we can’t even agree on what constitutes evil on modern day earth, come tf on.
At least Kirk and Spock totally fucked over that table? But I don’t actually ship Spirk, so even that’s not really a solace to me.
9 x 7 (Taskmaster) - we took so long to watch the last series of Taskmaster due to Life Events, that the new one has come around in no time at all!
Prize Task (soft thing) - Phil’s was probably my favourite here, but absolutely deserved that 2 points. Possibly even just one point!
Honk the Horn - What an absolutely great first task. Chaotic from the very first moment, which is always going to play well with me. I’m genuinely not sure what was my favourite moment, as every single person had an absolutely great won. Reece getting confusedly angry about the concept of a telephone, to the point where he made Alex break! Sanjeev’s casual, relaxing day out! Ania’s burst of speed! Maisie’s panic honk winning the day! Phil’s pure chaos! Oh, it was art. <33
Roll an Object Onto the Target - Oooh, Sandown Park Racecourse! Once again, they DO have the money coming in.
Again, very enjoyable and very chaotic. I especially love Reece and Sanjeev immediately fucking up. And Ania unexpectedly finding the bins! And Maisie was super efficient in this one, really enjoyed seeing that. :D
Do something behind this curtain that sounds disgusting but is actually really nice. - Says a lot that my first thought for this was “orgy.” XD Phil did look like he was having fun!
Live Task (End Up on Your Spot) - CHAOS! :DDDDD Oh, I absolutely loved this one. They really should’ve thought it through better, though!
So Maisie wins the first one! Looking forward to seeing how this group progresses. :D

Have you seen the related outtake yet? Apparently this is Reece getting confusedly angry about the concept of the show breaking the wall between a silly television conceit and his actual life, which includes his telephone. It made me like Reece even more!
Maisie’s panic honk winning the day!
This was so funny! Maisie's reaction to being told there was a task without knowing what the task was reminded me of those videos of working dogs, who see their owners doing something that is clearly Important and stressful, and they really want to help but have no idea what to do. The same kind of neurotic industriousness.
Phil did look like he was having fun!
Phil is such a weirdo XD I can't wait to see what bizarre things he'll be moved to showcase next.
They really should’ve thought it through better, though!
I really wonder who signed off on that live task! Even in the infamous s7 Knappett, nobody was supposed to be moving about blindfolded!

I liked Reece's raven too! Phil's made me laugh the hardest, but Reece was definitely in second place there.
