Dear Multiverse OOC

As you may or may not know, there are changes to LJ today which includes comment pages that do not allow comment titles.

It is believed that some custom comment reading styles may allow comment titles again.

Therefore I turned off the setting that makes people use the default LJ comment style in D_M and DM_OOC. This may change, but I'm trying to deal with things as best I can.

I am now issuing a unilateral pre-emptive warning: LJ 'why do they do that' discussions should go elsewhere. As in not d_m or dmooc.

Thank you for your time, and I'm going to see if I can wake Big Venus up to walk across the place again.

There are no excuses for Néo, but there are explanations. They can be found in hir canon and hir scrapbook. Briefly, for those who actually care, shi and hir friend Pippi are pseudo-hermaphrodite nudists from the J-porn equivalent of Simoun. I'm not kidding here: it's got an all-female cast, playing characters who look female but technically aren't yet, and who might grow up to be male or female, in a story with strong lesbian overtones but whose world proves to be quite heteronormative in its own way.

I meant to post something along these lines a while back, but got a bit busy and lost track of LJ for a while.

Althea is a character you're not likely to know, as she comes out of the continuity of a rather unusual campaign in the Eberron D&D setting. She has a few different guises she might show up as, but they are essentially the same person. She will probably start to show up unexpectedly, seeming oddly familiar with the nexus and perhaps some of its inhabitants, despite not having been seen before. There is a reason behind this unusual behavior...

tl;dr version: She's a sort-of superhero seer named Vision with chaos-aligned powers, whose secret identity is a university student. Her visits to the Nexus are occurring in a random order.

I know it's been quiet from the mod team of late, but you've all been rather well-behaved, so there's been no need.

Right now, however, we have found a bit of need. LiveJournal has made a technical change, and we're making a rule to address it. You see, as you may have noticed, there's been things going on with Twitter and Facebook and crossposting. And now, in the newest update... you can post to communities from Twitter and Facebook and the others.

The possibilities for trouble are endless. (As opposed to Endless, no offense made to the seven siblings.)

Therefore, we have decided to invoke a new rule:

THE ORIGINATION RULE.
To post or comment on dear_multiverse and dmooc, you must do so from a LiveJournal account. You cannot post to it from a Facebook, Twitter, OpenID or any other 'Identity' account as allowed by LiveJournal. Doing so will result in an immediate warning.

I trust you will all be mature persons about this.

Well Hi there everyone! My name is MIri. 
I thought I'd introduce myself cause well... you seem like a lovely bunch of people. 
I don't really use LJ outside of RP'ing. I like Sci-fi (Doctor Who and the Joss are brilliant) and anything to do with Time-Travel. Comics are fun and my favorite character is my dear old Muse Bart Allen. 

Sometimes it seems that he and I share a brain we are rather similar. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not but... it is what it is >laugh<

I'm relatively new to this. I've been RP'ing for a month or two at dcu6wordstories I occationaly use sixwordstories and dear_mun but not quite so regularly. 

As I said I'm rather new to this and I take on criticism of the constructive kind very well so if you have anything to say to me or anything you think I should do to be a better RPer I am all ears :D

Well.... that's me. I hope I can be a good member of you community and I hope Bart's not too annoying :P (he's a hyperactive speedster so he's bound to annoy you somewhat :P just be thankful I chose current continuity and not him from his Impulse days >laugh< )

Sorry for the delay in introducing myself. I'm Khajidu and I'm a science fiction and fantasy fan. I'm playing Stats (yeah, you know, the tall ship who arrived last week) here.
Yesterday, Stats posted in Zuko's thread something along the lines of "Hey, Zuko, sorry for intruding in your conversation about being a fictional character, I'm one too and I suspect we might not be the only ones.' Maybe Zuko felt I was undirectly canon-puncturing the person he was talking to, because Stats's comment had disappeared when I came back here. I received no explanation, so I don't think it was the mods. Can anybody explain to me what happened?

So, long time player here, new character, yadda yadda. There's some good links on the journal for anyone not familiar with the Highlander universe. I'm having a good time over in the Nexus, *Waves* (I haven't seen Derek in the Nexus in forever! So awesome!) but I've been wandering around the internet looking for a good Highlander RP. All the ones I can find seem to have petered out a couple years ago. So in the spirit of the Nexus I'm here to ask if anyone knows a good Highlander RP going on, or wants to start one? I'm interested in blended movie/TV series and open to playing an original character there if Connor's not wanted/taken.

Hello, hello!  I played a bit here a while ago, but basically I am new, and this guy certainly is.  His name is Nick Ryves and he's a character from The Demon's Lexicon by Sara Rees Brennan.  I'm trying to get his voice, so please forgive if I struggle at first--I'll try to keep him as IC as possible and still have him actually speak words to other people.  Nick happens to be a demon and he can't lie, but he has somehow mastered the art of sarcasm.
