About
LAFLOR, aka Sabrina Cerquera, is a first-generation Colombian-Miamian vinyl selector based in Portland, OR.
LAFLOR fell into DJing through curiosity and an interest in connecting with her familial roots. Inspired by the salsa, cumbia, and boleros she grew up listening to while cleaning on Sunday mornings – LAFLOR began collecting Spanish vinyl in hopes of preserving records for future generations.
In 2020, LAFLOR became connected with We Got Next PDX who supported her pursuit in vinyl DJing through a fellowship. Since then, she has hosted a bi-weekly radio show with Freeform Portland called Hora De La Flor and has spun vinyl at various gigs around the city including club DJing and private gigs.
LAFLOR is sought after to play all vinyl sets that consist of salsa, cumbia, boogaloo, and funk / soul music. Every once in a while, she will get behind the digital decks to play early 00s reggaeton, perreo, and indie Spanish rock. Her most memorable past events she has played at include opening for Girl Ultra, a summer residency with Hey Love, and a plant swap party with Arium Botanicals.
