Listen to this. Scriabin was a composer during the Silver Age of Russian art at the dawn of the 20th Century. He began to compose using a tri-tone rather than classical harmony and called this the "Promethean Chord". He was an admirer of Nietzsche and saw Western Europe as ruled by orderly Apollo but found Dionysus to be the true Slavic God. He created this music to express and unleash the Dionysian soul of Russia. He was a bit of a Theosophist too. Lots of interesting characters around that time. If the "Mystical Anarchists" had won the day instead of the Bolsheviks we would be living in a much stranger world.

Why do people lose all common sense and the ability to criticize when people die? I'm hearing nothing but people saying how much they liked Michael Jackson when they were kids and how they're so sad that he died. I liked Michael Jackson when I was a kid too: that's who he wanted to appeal to. I like some of his songs still, I got drunk and danced to a few last night, but I'm still glad that he's dead. One less baby raping piece of shit in the world. Children of the world: rejoice! Keep things in perspective people. The only thing good about MJ was recorded over twenty years ago. His record company is probably rejoicing too. I bet a lot more people are willing to buy his albums now knowing that none of the money's going to him. He's worth way more to the world dead than alive. Get the fuck over it.
