I'll make it look proper once I've slept on it. Born in the late 1900s.

If you ever feel like a loser just remember there are people who are genuinely emotionally invested in the lives of the british royal family

So I was talking about the audio drama community's dislike of AI on reddit, and it got me curious. I personally would not listen to a show that used AI for art, writing, acting- anything really. How does the community feel about it?

I'd love some hard numbers to point to when talking about how the community feels.

EDIT: Please reblog for more reach! I want this to be not limited to my fans, but more general

a long time ago in a discussion of non-toxic masculinity, a podcaster i was listening to said that he felt positively masculine when he (anecdote simplified) noticed that his friend looked hungry and made sure he had a sandwich. and that's lived in my head since because there's, like, a lot to unpack there, right?

[n.b. in the rest of the post read "traditionally designated as" before "masculine" or "feminine"]

feeding the family is certainly a masculine virtue, but only in the sense of providing money or labor that allows food to be made. noticing that people need food and providing specific food items is strongly feminine. so already we're at a place where the thing that makes the speaker feel specifically masculine is something that's most commonly a feminine trait.

and then there's the really obvious thing, which is that this is something that in no way needs to be gendered: this is an act that makes the speaker feel like a good friend. the goal is, of course, to define a positive masculinity against the posited aggressive, violent "true" masculinity of the right; but it highlights the impossibility of defining virtues as specifically masculine or feminine. if something is virtuous (watching out for a friend's well-being), then it is virtuous for everyone. the artificiality of the constructs "masculine" and "feminine" is made crystal clear by the fact that, in attempting to outline a specific masculine virtue, the speaker immediately chooses one that has historically been feminine.

Happy Penny Day to you and Yours! Every year on August 23rd we celebrate Penny Day! Penny Day is the day that Penny came home after being in the NICU for 81 days, but it is also a day to celebrate the smallest and simplest joys in life. Eat pasta and strawberry cake, drink chocolate milk and play in the sand! Happy Penny Day!

You don’t need to spend money or do anything crazy for Penny Day! You just need to find beauty in being unashamedly you. Here are some ways to celebrate Penny Day from Penny herself:

- lay down in the grass and say hello to every bug

- also say goodbye to every bug

- count to 5 and laugh like the count ( ha ha ha!)

-say thank you to everyone and and everything even inanimate objects

-drink so much water you may float away

-follow a plane across the sky, and wave hello

-eat bread and butter

-hug your belly tight and say “ it’s so good”

-hug the mirror and pat it softly

-know that you are also a miracle and deserve the world

-find beauty in the smallest things

-squeeze your loved ones hands and tell them Happy Day!

-I’m serious eat so much bread and cake and anything that makes your soul feel good and feel no guilt. Only joy at how strong and good your body is! You’ve come so far! You’ll go even farther! Happy Penny Day!

HAPPY PENNY DAY TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE We have gone tow several bakeries and we have gone to many dollar stores and now we are going out to Village Tavern to have chips and Pasta! Happy Penny Day! Live a Whimsical Life!

Happy Penny Day Again to those who celebrate!

Remember when you could look things up online. Do you remember how we used to search

not to "trying to be chill but can't help noticing how misogyny bleeds through the cracks etc etc" but once you realize that almost none of the cute disney comic relief sidekicks are women you can't unsee it. like that thing only exists to do some slapstick and look cute for plushies. why can't it be a woman. why are ALL of them he/him. it's driving me fucking insane

I would like to formally apologize to everyone. I had no idea what consequences my actions would create but I should have been more careful anyway. I should have remembered this is a Genie Website and I should have clarified that when I want more female nonhuman comedic relief characters, I did not mean I wanted Olaf the Snowman to have an intensely heterosexual love interest in Frozen 3. I will do my best to go through each post with a team of lawyers going forwards to ensure this never happens again.

the Minions' creator said they're all male because he can't imagine a woman doing that kind of stupid slapstick stuff

which sounds complimentary on the surface, but. everyone loves the Minions for doing that (okay most people find them annoying, but a lot of people love them). it's seen as cute and funny. so it's not really a good thing, in this context, to not be capable of doing it

honestly it's just more of the faux progressive "tee hee this is what Boys Will Be Boys SHOULD mean!!! oh those cute wacky zany guys always getting up to creative hijinks that women are too Mature and Responsible (And Uptight and Boring) to do!!! <3 UwU" bullshit you see on here a lot
