These are great. Thank you so much for them! I'm so glad I'm not the only menopausal woman on LJ!

It would be great if it didn't take so damn long. After 18 mos I suddenly had another period--damn it! Now I've got to start the count to two full years without a period all over again to be officially in menopause. >:-(

Needless to say, I've taken ALL of these and will credit when used! Thanks again.

Your icon is kind of symbolic of menopause--it's like a phoenix rising from the ashes!

Sorry to hear you had a "stray" period. But I'm not sure where you heard you had to go 2 years w/o a period to officially be menopausal because every doctor I've talked to has said it's only 12 months.

12 months was what I had heard, too. But recently I've been told by several women at the Kaiser clinic that it's now officially two years. They must be right, since I did have this "stray" period! Let's hope it's the last.

I am on DW, although I rarely visit it. I'll check out that comm, however. Thanks!

Well, I'll stick with what my doctors tell me, which is 12 months. Of course, just because a woman is menopausal doesn't mean things like a stray period can't happen. It's just an arbitrary cutoff point between perimenopause and menopause. *lol*

Thank you. I was experimenting with converting a flash file to make the header. Not sure I'll do that again or considering how much of a hassle it was.

Menopause has long since disappeared from view for me. Hallelujah, amen, thank you Jesus! Menopause wasn't that bad, I'm just glad to be rid of the rest of it!
