Following tradition the event will be taking place at:
The Face Bar, Reading on Saturday 28th November 2009
From 2pm – 3am
and will cost £8 in advance or £10.00 on the door
This year has a theme which means you have to DRESS TO IMPRESS and let your creative juices flow! This year will be a Gothic, Freakshow, Burton-esque inspired affair. So dress up as one of your favourite Tim Burton movie characters, pull out all the stops with a gothic, Victorian or Steampunk outfit or opt for a freaky circus ensemble that will catch everyone’s eye!
We wanted to get the event invite out NOW to ensure that everyone will have enough time to book time off work, get a babysitter, plan your outfits in advance and basically clear your weekend for one of the biggest alternative parties that will be a part of your social calendar this year!

JOE BLACKhttp://www.myspace.com/misterjoebl… Mister Joe Black is a renowned exuberant act encompassing the art of burlesque, alternative, show tunes, Cabaret and vaudeville. He will be the events flamboyant host and will provide mini performances throughout the day – expect to be immensely entertained!
JAGGEDhttp://www.myspace.com/jaggedbanduk Bristol based this band blend a smooth mix of electro, darkwave and industrial sounds that will entice you to the dancefloor immediately. The band are influenced by Gary Numan, NIN and Mesh and are not to be missed!
ON TRIALhttp://www.myspace.com/ontrialuk Readings only punk rock freak show that will have you lapping up their crazy antics or fearing for your life hoping not to be pulled out from the crowd! Fronted by Jonny Wah Wah this band will certainly make an impact and will be a highlight of the day!
TEMPORARY ASYLUMhttp://www.myspace.com/temp0raryas…After catching these guys live in Derby recently we were blown away with their energy and especially bowled over with their charismatic frontwoman KA who had fantastic stage presence. The band are a mix of rock, grunge and post punk and will have you shaking your ass on the dancefloor. We cant wait to see what Reading makes of them!
THE DIRTY YOUTHhttp://www.myspace.com/thedirtyyou… Welsh and proud these guys put on a fantastic show. Fronted by Danni Monroe they whip the crowd up into a mass frenzy with their blend of pop, punk, metal and rock tunes and with their new album being released in the not too distant future the band will certainly bring some life to our event!

This is straight up rock and roll at its finest and with their upright bass we are in for some kick ass tunes that will get you wrecking on the dancefloor.
RAZORBLADEKISSEShttp://www.myspace.com/razorbladek…Southampton based band RBK are a visual and musical treat, being the only Gothic Lolita band in the UK the band are a unique sound that encompasses both fairytales and nightmares. Having released their debut album ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Scar’ the party goers are going to be awestruck by these guys who will be a fantastic addition to our party lineup.
MALEFICENThttp://www.myspace.com/maleficentb…London's finest metal industrial and theatrical group Maleficent will be headlining this years party. They are a wonderful fusion of the best sounds and are a fantastic visual outfit that incorporate fetish and ballet into their performances. They have recently released a new cd 'Demized' which we gave a sterling review for and we recently featured a two page interview spread of the band in the magazine. These guys are going to put on a superb show and we cant wait to see what they come up with! Make sure you are around to catch what will be a rather entertaining and intimate show.

He will also be doing a walk around on the day interacting with our audience and using his mind reading skills so do not miss out on this truly awesome performer who will be bringing his new breed of illusion to The Face Bar.
DAVID TOVEYhttp://www.eyecacha.co.uk Making his debut at The Alt Collective earlier this year David is an accomplished photographer who will have his own photo stand on the day and will be on hand to take gothic portrait pictures of you in your themed outfits! Make sure you dress to impress!
SCOTT CHALMERS

DJ NICK PAINLESS OF PAINLESS PARTIEShttp://www.myspace.com/painlesspar…Joining us for an hour guest slot is Isle Of Wight resident DJ Nick Painless who many of you will recognise as being the face painted Jesus when he tours with The Shanklin Freakshow. He will be mixing a metal, industrial, freakshow mix that will get you all on the dancefloor and were hoping he will throw in the odd ICP tune for the Juggalos in the crowd too which will be a real treat.
DJS SIMON PENGUIN (CHURCH OF MADNESS, ASCENSCION) & MARK SCOURGE (CHURCH OF MADNESS, NECROSCOPE)http://www.myspace.com/churchofmad… These guys have been with us for the last two years and have provided our parties with a great mix of tunes from industrial to metal to punk to rock to Goth and anything we request in-between. They are friendly guys who are completely approachable so don't be shy and if you have a song in mind to get you and your friends on the dancefloor then head up to the Dj Booth and request it!
