Sooo...I think I'm having problems with ovarian cysts again. You can't even imagine the pain I feel at times...it's like someone shoving a knife into my abdomen and twisting it. Repeatedly. It sucks. I cry sometimes because it hurts so bad.
I want to make a doctor's appointment with Dr Chen to get it checked out, but because I have Blue Care Network, I have to see my primary care and get a referral from him before she can. It sucks. I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of a male doctor examining me.
I was watching TLC the other night, this show "Mystery Diagnosis". A girl on the show had a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and a lot of her symptoms are what I also experience. I researched it a bit more online today. I think I'll bring what I found with me to the doctor's on Tuesday.

Started my new job. Turns out, the woman that's training me lives about five blocks from my house. Pretty cool.
Everyone in my department is awesome. There's only three other ladies besides myself, then my manager, and they're all nice. It's weird to have a manager that I can actually feel comfortable around after having one that constantly stressed me out. Kay is so super nice. She was even really understanding when I missed Thursday because I came down with a stomach bug. I thought for sure that she would be PISSED...but she wasn't. She was genuinely concerned...I'm not used to that. It's nice.
I think I like this job. It's not that hard so far. And not really stressful either.
Other than that...ummm...
Shawn insisted we get the cats declawed (even though I'm strongly against it). He thought they would tear the house up if we didn't. I made him bring them there and take them back. I'm not having my kitties think that I was the one that hurt them. No way.

Everyone in my department is awesome. There's only three other ladies besides myself, then my manager, and they're all nice. It's weird to have a manager that I can actually feel comfortable around after having one that constantly stressed me out. Kay is so super nice. She was even really understanding when I missed Thursday because I came down with a stomach bug. I thought for sure that she would be PISSED...but she wasn't. She was genuinely concerned...I'm not used to that. It's nice.
I think I like this job. It's not that hard so far. And not really stressful either.
Other than that...ummm...
Shawn insisted we get the cats declawed (even though I'm strongly against it). He thought they would tear the house up if we didn't. I made him bring them there and take them back. I'm not having my kitties think that I was the one that hurt them. No way.

So I have a new JOB. Yay! I'm supposed to start on Monday. I'm now going to be working in the credit department for a shipping/trucking company called Universal Truck Load Services. Making more money here than at Great Lakes fucking Medical Supply too, so they can kiss my ass. Haha...I knew I'd be better off.
And hey...I got a three month vacation out of the deal. SWEET.
However, I am sad that I won't be able to spend days home alone with my Gabey baby anymore. I'm gonna cry when I drop him off at daycare on Monday morning.
So tomorrow is my birthday!! I'm gonna be 22 fuckers! I don't know why I keep swearing...lol. I never swear at home. Ah well. Whatever.

So I get that no one cares anymore, but I'm bored stiff.
I got the picture of my sponsored child. His name is Zola and he's 7 years old. He lives in a country called East Timor, which didn't even become a nation until 1999. It's very interesting. They speak a language called Tetun there. I bought a phrasebook so that I might be able to communicate with Zola in a language he understands, instead of my letters having to be translated.
Finally got word from unemployment that my claim is denied. Fuckers. Great Lakes Medical Supply can go to hell. I'm done with them. Washing my hands of the whole business because I'm just sick of it.
Shawn and I got our tax return back finally. Bought a new couch today. It's awesome. Red microfiber. It's like sitting on a scuplture made of pillows...so nice.
Oh yeah, and I bought The Sims 2 finally. Went to install it on my Mac only to find out that 1) my operating system was too outdated to run it, and 2) it's a DVD-ROM game, and my Mac lacks a DVD-ROM drive. Ebay worked wonders in fixing those problems though. I just bought a new DVD-ROM drive to install myself and also purchased the newest version of the OSX software - Tiger. Looking forward to getting the drive in the mail...I already have the software.
I've been reading a lot lately. Since February 1st, I've finished 4 books...lol. I'm rather ashamed to admit that I read Paris Hilton's book. It sucked. My advice: only pick up this book if you want to try to be just like Paris or want to "admire" the pictures (there are TONS of them).
That's about it, I think...OH YEAH! Gabriel finally got his top front teeth! He's adorable.

Hey guys. Just wanted to give a quickie update. I'm still alive. Still looking for a job. LOVING staying home with Gabriel for the time being.
I've decided to sponsor a child through the Christian Children's Fund. I should be getting a picture of my child within another week or so. I'm excited. It's nice to be able to give back when Shawn and I have been so fortunate.

I am still breathing!
Quickie update...my "suspension" from work ended with me losing my job. I don't really care, to be honest. I was looking for work elsewhere anyway. However, the dick sucker that was formerly my manager is now trying to get MY MOM fired. Supposedly, she's "harassing" him by letting him know what he and his department are doing wrong (which is her job). He's a prick. Oh well, mom's looking for other work too.
I've applied to so many jobs I can't even keep count. I should have written all that info down from the beginning, but I just started recording all that information less than two weeks ago. Nothing's come up just yet, but my unemployment is good for six months after it goes through. I'm not worried.
Surprisingly, Shawn and I are doing better financially NOW than we were when I was working. I'm not quite sure how that works out, but what the hell. I'm not complaining. Plus, Shawn's getting a raise at work soon...possibly to $14.50/hour. Kick assssss.
Gabriel is now one year old. I think I have some pictures on my mom's comp here that I might be able to post. He's so adorable...I just love him to pieces! I love being able to be at home with him now (at least for the time being). Here's some pics!!

1. When I'm calling someone, I always count the number of rings it takes for them to answer/voicemail to pick up. I usually hang up at eight. (It's a habit from work.)
2. I grow my pinky nails long just so I can bite them (not off, but just bite them).
3. I spend more money than I know I should, then argue with my husband that I don't when he points it out.
4. I CONSTANTLY point out spelling/grammatical errors whenever I see them. (There's this bakery down 10 Mile from my house called "Wholey Moley"...only they spell it "Wholley Molley", which I think should be pronounced "Holly Molly". That bugs the piss out of me.)
5. I buy the super large cups of hot chocolate from 7-Eleven, even though I know I'll only drink enough to fill half the smallest size.

I almost got hit by a semi on my way to work when we had that six inches of snow fall overnight recently. Gabriel was in the car with me. My car wouldn't stop, even though I was jamming my foot on the brake pedal. It just kept skidding in the snow. I came within about 4-5 feet of hitting this semi head-on (I was in the left turn lane) when I was finally able to stop. I just sat there, stunned, for a minute before I realized that I was holding up traffic and I had to keep going. I dropped Gabe off at daycare and went in to work. I was half an hour late because I was doing 15 mph the whole rest of the way there. When I finally got in, I went to the bathroom and cried for five minutes straight because I was so shaken up.
My manager didn't believe I was having brake problems. What a prick. More on that later.
Needless to say, I've been driving Shawn's van ever since.
OK. Work's been horrible lately. It's gotten to the point that I get myself so worked up over not wanting to make any mistakes that I send myself into panic attacks. The only reason I can think of for being such a target to my dumbass manager is that I don't kiss his ass. Everyone else in my department treats him like a god, and he's so far from it. I can't stand him. EVERYONE in my department makes the same little mistakes that I do, just as often as I do, but do they get it pointed out to them? NO. I hate it. I hate that fucking company.
I got suspended for two weeks from working there. Supposedly because I'm late to work everyday, which I am NOT. I have my time cards to prove it. However, I'm not going to fight it. I view this suspension as a blessing in disguise. I should be so scared about possibly losing this job, but instead, I'm enjoying the time off. I need it. I'm taking the time to look for employment elsewhere. Hopefully, by the time they want me to call them "to let them know if I REALLY want to work there", I'll be able to tell them to take the job and shove it up their asses.
I just find it funny that under the guidance of my old manager, I was one of the best employees in the department and got nothing but praise. Nothing changed as to how I do anything (in fact, I've been trying HARDER), and suddenly I'm public enemy number one with the new manager. Fuck him. GrrRrrrrRrrRRR!
I applied for a position at one of GLMS' rival companies. Legally, I'm not supposed to do that for two years after leaving GLMS, but how are they going to know? It's not like I'm going to tell them.
I also have put in applications for full-time work at PetCo (I would LOVE to work there) for two different available positions at each of two different locations (four positions in total). Man, they are HARSH with their hiring. I had to answer an 89 question survey before they'd even consider my application. I hope I hear back from them.
I'm going to put in applications at a few restaurants as well. I'd like to give waitressing a try. I'm so sick of desk work. Tomorrow, I'm hitting the Eastgate shopping Plaza, and Wednesday I'm doing Hoover 11. I also bought a Sunday Free Press that I still have to look through.
Anyway, I gotta jet. I still wanna stop by the ATM and pick up some cash. Amber and I are taking the boys to the mall to get their pictures taken with Santa today. Who knows? Maybe I'll bring a pen and put in some apps. :)

I swear, authority figures that get their positions because they are friends with the owner of the company and their sister is the HR manager need to shrivel up and DIE. He has NO idea what the hell he's talking about half the time. I could do a MUCH better job at his position than he does.
