Devil & Devil - A Fan Community

As the subject says, this is a good friendly hello. ^_^ Though, I wish I didn't come empty handed. ;_;

I just recently discovered Devil and Devil and I must say, I'm absolutly obsessed with it. XD

I'm not that far into the series, only 5 chapters and my computer does not exactly possess the fastest internet connection (15 kbps T.T). But hopefully I'll be updated soon. ^.^

Anyways...I'll see everybody around and I'll poke my head in from time to time.

I'm in the process of re-reading the manga, and just got to the part where they re-introduce Shekil as the new transfer student at Sword and Ios's school. I just want to take a break from reading to go

Ahem, sorry about that, but I just love Shekil. Yeah, Sword and Ios are great, too, don't get me wrong, but there's something about Shekil that just makes me happy.

^^;; So, now that I've made a fangirly dork of myself, here's a question for you all:

Not counting Ios and Sword, who's your favorite secondary, or even minor, character from DD?

A few days ago, amefuri suggested doing a 20 themes list for Devil & Devil (an explanation of 20 themes can be found here). I've been rereading the manga this week and jotting down theme ideas as I go. Under the link are some I've come up with so far:

even tho this community looks pretty slow I had to join. I am obsessed with the manga Devil & Devil. obsessed to the point I've made multiple icons of the series (all Sword, since I love how expressive he is XD). the bases can be found in my icon journal here and there's some versions with text added in other posts in my icon journal.

Wow, this place is so quiet it's practically dead. I wonder if making one of those 20themes lists would inspire some activity... Well, in any case, I guess that I'll post a rough sketch I did of Devil Sword.

I wouldn't mind trying to draw some DD valentine's day art if anyone want to see some fluffy Ios/Sword slash pictures.

A past friend was reading it and would make comments about what had happened in the parts she was on so far, but I didn't actually down load it until later when I wanted to know what it was about and asked for the site (which is now down, sadly). Honestly, I didn't think I would like it as much, but it only took the first book to get me hooked. After that, we became the first ones to role play the series on AOL and I had the part of Ios and Kanna.

My favorite part? Well, since I am a sap for angst and fluff, I really enjoyed the moments where Sword and Ios connected and worked together to save one another, despite how Sword always screamed about how he was going to kill Ios. The ending was abrupt and just sort of cut off, but it does leave way for implying there might be more added to it later someday. And I don't think that Ios gave up on the exploration, because I took it that he was relieved to get more time with Sword. Rofl, or maybe that's my Sword x Ios yaoi fangirl part talking. Ios is my favorite.

Extra: I had some Kanna x Souma stories once, but they got lost when my last computer died. However, I believe I have them written out in a random note book, which I will try to find to type them up again (that is, if no one here minds the yaoi/shounen-ai genre). Until then, I have some fan art that I will share. And also a shameless self-plug for my tiny art gallery, but at least I admit it.

Hello, and welcome to the Devil & Devil fan community! I am Leena, creator and moderator of this comm. I hope everyone who joins enjoys it here, discussing one of the best (and funniest!) manga I've read in a looong while. I personally just read DD recently, and found the characters and plot for the most part to be wonderfully engaging. So I went to the 'net, trying to find more information and fanworks, and found there was really very little out there (though what I *did* find was excellent!). So I decided to make this community, a place where we fans can find each other easily and talk about the plot, the characters, the art, that is Devil & Devil.

Oh, by the way ::points:: Does anyone have a clearer picture of Ios than the one I've got on the left? I'm afraid it's horribly blurry compared to the one of Sword.

Anyway, welcome again. Glad you stopped by. Feel free to give me any opinions and suggestions that you think would improve this community - I'm all ears!
