Been a good bit since I've done one of these! This morning I'm needing some musical suggestions and figured I'd hop in to see what the ole DEV community has to suggest. Hope everybody has been doing well... what ya been listening to? Anything goes here.
How to play
Folks can chime in and drop links to whatever they've been listening to recently + browse others' suggestions. This time around, no genre is listed, so suggest whatever you wanna. 🙌
Let's do some listening! 👂
Note: You can embed a link to your song using the following syntax {% embed https://... %}
. This should work for most common platforms!
Looking forward to hearing y'all's suggestions! 🎶

I'm going to see Waxahatchee and MJ Lenderman next month so they've been on repeat a lot lately:
Wow, that must be really exciting.
Cool song, maybe you like this one also, some similar vibes. 👀
I'll check it out, thanks!
When I'm working on something, I like to listen to a steady and repetitive beat, it somehow helps me focus. This has been my go-to for a while, I just put it on loop in the background:
Love it. Metal music is a major Norwegian export article! 🎸✨
Yes! What I love even more about this is that QOTSA contributed heavily to the Desert Rock scene, and out comes Slomosa, a Norwegian band, with "Tundra Rock" - a genre inspired by Desert Rock, which itself has elements of metal! Slomosa are amazing, check them out:
Can't go wrong with Queens! I was on a big QotSA kick a couple years ago. Saw them live when they came through Raleigh and they freaking rock!
Man I would love to see them live 😔
Do it! If they come around by you, I highly recommend'em!

I would love to, but I would probably need to travel halfway across the globe 😂
I live in Tunisia, which is in North Africa. I've never had the chance to see any of my favorite bands. Someday though!
Listening to a steady, repetitive beat while working is a well-recognized method for enhancing focus and productivity. This approach leverages the brain's preference for predictable patterns, which can minimize distractions and foster a state of deep concentration.
Why Repetitive Music Enhances Focus:
Predictability Reduces Distractions: Familiar, repetitive music can help the brain tune out external stimuli, allowing for improved concentration on the task at hand.
Induces a Flow State: Repeatedly listening to the same calming music can condition the brain to enter a productive flow state more readily

Likewise my dude! 🙌
Fun beat here – kinda makes me think of early Glass Animals stuff. Good one, Thomas!

Currently vibin' to Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory like it's 2000 again 🤘 Nostalgia level: MAXIMUM 🎶 😎.
Haha, yeahh boyee!! Good one here, Mahmoud. Def nostalgia fuel, haha. 🔥
Hello 👋 How are you? Good to see you posting! 🙂
🌌EVE Online is a free MMORPG sci-fi strategy game where you can embark on your own unique space adventure and I love listening to this EVE Online fan music video (mix/parody of "How to Save a Life" by The Fray):
Been doin well, thankya! Hope you are too! I've heard good things about EVE Online, but never played it. Still, I can appreciate a good parody, this is hilarious. 😆
music threads like this always hype me up - feel like i find half my playlists from posts like these
I've been waiting for Lady Gaga's songs for a long time. She's back with a style like Judas. Of course Judas is still my favorite but Abracadabra is also very good.

I can't focus well while listening music cause I always get trapped into the beat, but whenever I listen music at work I try instrumental and loop sounds like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhZaHf8RP6g&ab_channel=DaftPunk
I can't get these 2 songs out of my head:
Keane - Somewhere only we know and The Kinks - Rosie won't you please come home + today's only theme The Beach Boys - Surfin' USA
Good tunes, Martin!
I especially like the one by The Kinks. I have a big soft spot for 60's music!
