DW Season Openers vs Season Finales... My thoughts!

(Note: Updated up to Season 10 with 27 and 31 done too!)

After reading this post over at doctorwho  I started to consider the question suggested... of the ones I have seen, which seasons have either the better opener or finale when compared to each other? Incidently this is also a rather enbarassing means of realising that there's a lot of great Classic Who you actually haven't seen yet... Hm....

And that's my thoughts! Hope you found them interesting and I'll be sticking up some news about me and the much delayed Watchathon shortly.

Alas, Poor Yeti, I Knew Ye Well...

Ever wondered what it would be like if Jamie and Victoria (which I often tout as one of my favourite Classic Who Pairings) were in Skakespeare's Romeo and Juliet? No, neither did I but it's the amusing result of what I got from seeing wander_realtai use this Drabble Generator found here. I wasn't expecting this result since it is so different from her own yet it is suprisingly interesting to read. The odd word might not make sense, probably due to the fact that half the time I think I actually forget what an abjective is. ;) But with without further Ado (about nothing), here is William Shakespeare lost masterpiece... Jamie and Victoria!

Christmas is Over! (Aw) And Being Bad For Once!

No more prezzies it seems, but I hope you've enjoyed Christmas all the same. I often think the 27th should be termed 'Try Out Gizmos Day' - two days after Christmas and with Boxing Day often taken up with visits to relatives (In my case Uncle and Aunt, which was a lovely day as always with the usual fun and games Dad comes up with) the 27th is when you get to try anything out you didn't have time for on Christmas Day.

Infamous was my computer game for Christmas and I've had some of today to gather what sort of game it actually is like - as with most games of its type there's a definte free-roaming element, but the chance to decide out to both develop your powers and how your morals lie is refreshing. Traditionally in these sorts of games where morals can be chosen I play the her first and then switch to the bad guy on the second play through, since I like to think if I ever had powers I would naturally be good instead of evil. For a change though (and given the game is called Infamous after all) I've opted to be bad for my first go, and in Infamous that's by no means a bad thing, since the amount of destruction you can cause is... well destructive.

Excuse me whilst I let my evil side out a second... MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! RUN YOU PITTLESS FOOLS REAPERS, CIVILIANS, I DON'T CARE WHICH! YOU'LL ALL TASTE MY ELECTRIC POWER!

Right, Hyde moment over. Anyhoo I've also gotten Patrick Troughton's swansong in Doctor Who: The War Games, Iron Man 2, lots of chocolate, a new shaver, Instant Snow Can (will be wanting to use that some day soon, I'm sure), the Series 5 DW Soundtrack, The Death of Captain America Graphic Novels, a nice new Marvel T-Shirt and a Family Guy Mousemat. And with the Birthday in a matter of days more is sure to come.

Also saw A Christmas Carol on the 25th. Great episode, possibly my favourite Christmas Special so far! Matt is really proving himself equal of the role of the Doctor these days, and I look forwards to his return in 2011 and a new season of Whoness. In the mean time though, the other bow-tie wearing Doctor will have to sate me.
